With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.
I noticed 2 things I haven't seen before:
1.) A certain feature in the book cover: It has 4 Spartans fighting in a city. Now, originally, I had thought this was just showing Spartans fighting on Reach (because of the name, it'd fit). But, the Spartans never fought in any city on Reach, nor in any other place in the book (Cote d'Azure can be excluded, since they didn't really do any large-scale fighting).... That may be nothing to some people, since many book covers do not accurately depict what is inside the book (hence the expression, "Don't judge a book by its cover."). And it also may be nothing, since it might just be depicting a battle not described in the book.
.......but.....
I began to think that maybe it was Earth they were fighting on. This actually makes more sense than you might think. 4 Spartans. There are 4 Spartans that will fight on Earth (presumeably) in Halo 2 (I exclude Kelly, the 5th, because I don't think she'll make it back from whatever mission she is on in time to fight that battle). This also may be nothing to some people, since the Spartans usually divide themselves up into small teams.... but one, and only one, is holding a Sniper Rifle........ Anyone else think it may be Linda? I think this cover (although they are wearing Mark V armor, rather than Mark VI) is a foreshadow and possibly a confirmation of fighting side-by-side with the remaining Spartans in Halo 2. Many people already believe this, but it hasn't been confirmed. I just think this might be interesting to some.
2.) Admiral Cole's campaign to retake the Harvest Colony took 4 years. 4 YEARS! That seems a bit long for a space-based battle to me. Anyone want to clear this up for me? Sure, it may have taken a while to assemble a fleet, but not that long... I'm just a bit confused.
