Subject: How did High Charity jump?

After playing through another fun quest through Halo 2 I was curious, after Truth left High Charity in the Forerunner dreadnought, which in the books was said to power all of High Charity and still have not wasted much power, but once it was removed and jumped to Earth, how did High Charity jump? It's power source was the dreadnought which wasn't in High charity anymore and High Charity didn't have anything that could make it jump without the dreadnought.

How did it jump?

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

I have seen you future

It probably had some reserve/emergency power available. This was probably related to the reactors you destroyed in the mission Cortana.

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

The flood are very resourceful. They could have easily rigged something up. While the Dreadnought was the primary source of power, it would be foolish to not have a backup source that could fulfill all the same functions.

Check out 8 1/2 SPARTANS

the flood took over a lot of ships. and the gravemind is VERY smart.

they probably managed to get a makeshift power supply

Yeah Cheeto said what I could put into words properly.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

I'm sure High Charity had some sort of reserve power that was possibly turned on manually by The Flood. Perhaps the reactors in Halo 3?
