Subject: Halo 3 or Halo: REACH

Halo 3 in my opinion is still superior to Reach. Due to the fact that it is way more well-rounded than Reach. There just isn't anything spectacular about Reach. I find it a lot less entertaining than halo 3. There is way less exciting moments in Reach than in halo 3. Like when you get a triple kill or whatever in halo 3 you feel good. However in Reach and its DMR which makes it near impossible to get anything over a double kill due to the lack of fire rate and movement. Honestly, how many of you have tried to create a chain of kills with the DMR, it is a 5 shot to the head which makes it impossible to successfully kill 2 or 3 people in succession without a team shot or grenade. However, in Halo 3 you can take down multiple enemies in succession with the ever so coveted BR. There is just way too many flaws in Halo Reach with them trying to make it too realistic and having COD attributes to it. For example the the grenade launcher = NOOB TUBE, and the basic movements seem delayed. I just feel like Bungie made a complete 180 and went downhill. They had it made with Halo 3 and then they come out with the hyped up Halo Reach and completely disappoint many players within the community. I know I don't speak for everyone but I do know for a fact that some people feel the same way as I do. All in all, I just wish they would've left the dynamics of Halo 3 alone instead of taking a new approach with reach.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Halo 3 is so much better then Reach.

Halo 3's multiplayer took a lot of skill, but was a lot of fun. Now, in Reach, you have n00bish things like Armor Lock. I can keep going into this, but moving on.

Halo Reach's campaign was terrible. Not only did they crap on their canon, the story wasn't even good. On top of that, it wasn't fun to play. It also glitches and doesn't show all of your missions. This happened to me twice. I had to go through the campaign twice just to get my missions to show.

Can you please explain the Pros to Reach for me over Halo 3. Im not trying to attack you personally I am just curious as to why you prefer Reach.

P.S. I know, but I was typing late at night and didn't really care : P

Frank O'Connor said he doesn't think the Halo series needs to be taken in a radical new direction... it just needs to go "deeper"

"Ultimately the core game mechanic and strength of the universe doesn't need to be changed, it just needs to be taken deeper. We want to make Halo games - we don't want to make Call of Duty or Ridge Racer. We want to make Halo games because we understand what's special about Halo."

Halo 3 MP > Halo Reach MP.

Dear Humanity,
We regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!"

One thing i like about the reach mp is that you can make your own armor with the credits you earn

Reach over Halo 3.

Halo 3 was lackluster in every way compared to its predecessors.
Halo 2 had an epic campaign and set up for an uber epic grand finale....Halo 3 took place AFTER the main battle for Earth and never felt like a worthy end to the fight.
Halo 2 had 20+ pure epic maps....Halo 3 never came further than maybe 6-7 epic maps.
Equipment was rubbish (so are half of the AA's to be honest), MP came down to BR whoring all the time.
Most importantly: It never was really fun to me.

Reach is more fun, it feels more like Halo 2 (which I consider to be the best Halo hands down, especially when it comes down to multiplayer). Sure, the maps still aren't great. But Noble Mappack is epic, and Defiant is made by the guys behind H2 and looks to be even better. Believe it or not: Reach plays faster than the other Halos, which feel really slow right now. Reach is a more complete package. I love the absolute freedom Forge and Custom Games give you (look at HORSE etc). The custimizations: GREAT!
Daily Challenges: best way to keep this game going for me on a daily basis.
Its not focussing on what most people here consider "skill" anymore, but more on casual fun gameplay which is a win in my book.

The campaign wasn't tied in neatly with the books, but it did had more epic moments than Halo 3. Its pacing was far better too. As for character development: do you really expect any of that from battle hardened Spartans who see this kind of stuff every day? Do you really expect such guys to change over the course of a few days...come on...

To be honest, Reach isn't as great as H1 and 2, it still has its flaws. But I like it A LOT better than H3.
My list:
H2/H1 > Reach > ODST > H3

Rest in Peace Halo 2.

Halo 3 overall had that special kind of feel to it especially when playing custom games, which seems to be a bit lacking in Reach despite the whole forge overhaul.

Anymore though Halo 3 is quite annoying sort of like the final moments of Halo 2. The majority of kills in a match seem unbeleivable anymore, and to many glitches have been figured out.

Its hard to say whether its really skill involved or not anymore.
End of Halo 2: Halo 3 much easier to defeat people than in Halo 2, or least it seemed that way.
Release of Reach: Difficulty of Halo 3 seems to have increased drastically for some reason, making the average match harder than it used to be.

Possible to say the really die hard epic fans of Halo 3 stayed on Halo 3? Or alot of the legitimate players seemed to have moved on making it like Modded Warfare?
