Play as a team win as a team or die as a team!

Yeah like Halo u only had like 5 levels I want more i hate being with by myself in a level and killing everyone by myself I like have people to fight with me and hear them say funny stuff. And I hope the Marines don't frag me in Halo 2 like they did in Halo.

I like the idea of having more troops! But not just troops, A ridiculous amount of troops, like 20 or 30 if the crapy xbox can support it! My friend was telling me, and I agree. When we beat halo 2 multiple times, we are going to go ape-blam!- on our marines and see if we can kill them off before the kill us! I do it halo when I get board, and its fun as -blam!-! I love it. So ya, more troops!

PS They tear you up in 343 guilty spark! Multiple shotguns + a lot of marines = little chance of survival!

I agree with The Doctor, if would be so cool if there about 30 or more troops so we can kill them, thats what i do to with my cousin, when we get bored we start to kill our own troops, its so fun!!!!! So if you read this Bungie, PLEASE make Halo 2 with a lot of troops like 30 or more, and with a lot of vehicles like an open war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about a training thing at the main menu, (After you beat the game) where you just kind of run around in subspace or something futuristic hologram (Like the holodeck!), and its a survival thing to see how long you can last against marines and dropship troopers? And of course the covenant!

In the books it said the MC preferred a team to fight with rather than by himself. Specifically, he said he'd rather fight side-by-side with his fellow SPARTANs because he was a commander, a leader, and preffered to be able to plan manuevers and what not. In Halo, he had to go most of it alone, because he was the last of the SPARTANs and the Marines were simply not adequate enough for the the Chief's demands for a well-trained group of soldiers. Thus, he had to have a completely new plan of attack because he was one man, compared to the many the Chief is used to having with him. I hope that the ODSTs, if not the rest of his surviving comrade SPARTANs, are there most of the time, as they'd be much better to the MC to command than the puny Marines.

That's just my 2 cents....

I agree with everyone. More marines (min of 15 with vehicles) on at least 75% of the levels, but you gotta have a few solo levels where the MC can just go kick butt.

I think his point was that there are only approximately 5 levels where you fight alongside the Marines.

I think I should brief you guys to one of the earliest in depth write-ups about Halo 2 from EGM back even before the demo in e3 of last year.

According to the article they were testing their new engine to see just how far they could push it. One of the scenes in the game will concern a covenant pyramid, with a small number of Covenant upon it.

Then, the sun is blotted out of the sky and a massive dropship that the magazine writers referred to as the size of a building lands before the pyramid. Doors open up, tanks, warthogs and atv's zip out. Marines rush out to lay cover fire with their assault rifles. The snipers use their ATV's to climb nearby hills....

Now.... you could always *switch sides* at this point and take on the marines... I think you'll last a second, maybe two assuming the scorpions don't decide to shoot you :)

I'm not aware of these "massive dropships". I thought the only Human dropship in Halo was the Pelican, and that is definately not the size of a building.

But with marines you can't sneak up on the covies and whack all the Grunts with melee attack, like in assalt on the control room.

True, but the AI has been greatly improved for Halo 2. You never know, maybe the Marines will be able to perform some stealth infiltration missions without making you run into snags created by them.

yes having tropps with you to fight will help a lot, because they are more advanced then in the first one example: they now can drive the warthog and more inteligence means they wont run into a grenade laying on the floor.
