Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

I have seen you future

The point of Reach was that it was going to be a game about the fall of a planet, where all of the Spartans die. Bungie wanted to make a darker game with more of an emotional feel. How well they did that is up for debate.

For a dramatic and entertaining narrative. Pity it didn't work like it should have.

"Sa kyr'am Nau tracyn kad, Vode An."

It was supposed to be a darker storyline. It didn't work for me. Especially since I found multiple ways to save every member of Noble team.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

In my opinion it was a miss. I could see them trying but it just didn't get the job done.

1 a: The act of using the Unleash Ninjas button, and performing a moderation act.

Everyone didn't die. We don't know what happened to Jun.

Oh poo

Because it had already been decided in the books and games that reach was the death place of all the remaining spartans. No matter what bungie did with the game they had to kill noble.

The part where jorge died is assuming that there were no more marines to activate the slipspace drive. The death of kat was completely out of chance that a covey was there to snipe her in the head,no way they could have seen it coming. Carter was in the heat of the moment trying to keep the primary objective safe. Emile was ambushed in an aquard position to defend himself and 6 was completely surrounded. I don't see how any of that could have been avoided. please enlighten me.

Yup. Felt too disconnected. If they expanded the narrative to show how seeming ALL the spartans but one died, then it would have more impact.

Even moreso if it at least introduced us to all the spartans first...

shouldve spent time getting people to actually care about the spartan-IIs and noble team, then the ending is more significant.

Also, the fall of reach is supposed to the the ultimate low point in the 25 year war. The straw that broke the camels back, the moment when humanity knew it was utterly doomed, even though they has been thinking it for 25 years. All of humanities hope for at least a draw, let alone a win in the war died with reach. Not only were 60% of the UNSCs ships destroyed, but seemingly all but one of its most powerful ground assets (spartans) were destroyed too. Their deaths make reaches fall that much worse.

On the covenant side, they had been searching for the halo rings and they had been getting closer and closer to finding one. Then the artifact on sigma octanus led them to reach (which would've led them to halo if Halsey hadn't discovered it first). So naturally they are going to commit all their resources to getting the coordinates since this is what they had been waiting for since the covenant began. This explains why the fleet attacking reach was so damned powerful: their greatest hour was at hand and they knew it.

It makes the discovery of halo 100000000000000x more significant. The covenant had been killing off humanity for 25 years in the search for it, so deciphering what it did/why the covenant wanted it was the last hope humanity had.

Pity the games never properly covey just how desperate humanities situation is.

Thank god for nylund.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say they were not cool enough to get a sequel.

Jun will never be seen again.

I really dislike when the good guys or the cool characters get killed off.

If it were up to me the badasses like Sgt. Johnson, Captain Keyes, Jorge, and so on would never be killed. They would just keep on kicking ass for ever.

I reckon it's to compensate for no ODST dying in the previous title.

the reason that i haven't ranked up anymore in H3 is simple.
if im general and lose a single game, i will get about 20 messages asking me how much i paid for the 50 on ebay.
if im brigadier, i would get messages saying, cant get a 50, noob?

Im just wondering why the elite who killed kat didnt kill carter jun and emile instead. Because all shields were down because of the radiation.

Then I'm glad it's not up to you. That's pretty poor drama.

On the date of 3/7/11, my friend Luke hung himself, R.I.P Buddy, im gonna miss you...

Jorge- Took it like a man and died with honor.

Kat- She got shot in the head... once...

Jun- Took the cowards way out and left the war, nuff said.

Carter- He went Kamamakazie on the covie's ass!

Emile- Took out 2 elites... then stabed... end.

Noble 6- With nothing to lose, he just went 100% badass, took out a huge army, and kept fighting intil he was trapped and killed, Best. Death. Ever.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

Because master chief has to be the "last" spartan.

The Covenant. That's why.
