Subject: Sangheili and the Halo Encyclopedia

Height: 7'4"
Weight: 320 lb

This issue has caused a lot of debate, but only a few people truly understand that these are average numbers.

You have to remember that females are taken into forming the average. As seen in The Duel, they are considerably smaller than the males. They lack the muscle that males have, and are much shorter.

Makes sense to me, cmon they can't just put the dimensions of a single Elite, its obviously an average.

Females are most likely smaller for the sole reason that they do not train their whole lives as well. (As far as halo lore goes.)

The Halo Encyclopedia isn't a very good source

I wouldn't take anything from halo legends when talking about canon. Obviously it was the artist's choice to make them look more human.

If it's the only representation of the subject, it would have to be taken.

Until we have something from a more...direct source, we will have to take the dimensions of the Female Sangheili.

Halo Legends is as direct a source as were gonna get, its Cannon.
The Encyclopedia is a source, just because its vague doesn't mean we should discredit it.

These figures existed in the Halo 3 Bestiarium as well, albeit a 2 inch difference for height, so it is not just the Encyclopedia. All the folks calling bullshet on the Encyclopedia just think about that one. Yes though, they are averages. Some like Ripa were 8'1" (I think I got the inches right), Thel was 7'10" apparently.

Not a lot of people know about the armor fact now as well. The Covenant appears to have been getting steadily retconned in power over the years. Glassing has been reduced in power, and the Elites appear to have been made more diminutive.

No new games, catching up with the world, and filling it with the name of SpazDragon, the dragon with a spas-12.

That's something I've never thought about before. It could actually be the average height for females AND males. But still, it's possible that a female unseen somewhere may be equal too or stronger and taller than the average male. Just sayin'.

I feel like the Covenant should have more concentration in design and power. The strength of the Covenant felt gradually weaker as the games played out.
