Yes, some of these ideas are "taken" from Call of Duty. They don't own the idea, and it isn't copying.

Now that Bungie has stepped down from creating Halo, and 343i is taking over, what could be their approach?

I have always been a fan of halo, and I think seeing it being taken to the next level(as far as uniqueness and customization goes) would be truly amazing. By morphing some ideas between popular games, I have come up with some basic customization options/ ideas that I think would suit a new Halo game well.

MA5K Carbine
MA37 Assault Rifle

No comments beside that... After all of this work I thought at least the Universe forum would give a rats ass.

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

I didn't necessary read it all but I looked at the pictures and have decided your thread has won 5 cookies and 2 internets.

First of all, you are suggesting 343i create a "Halo of Duty" that would be, IMO, horrible.

Your weapons create a huge amount of redundancy, something that Bungie has worked hard on eliminating from the Halo series. Killstreaks have no place in Halo. A MAC round would destroy any map except Forge World, and the other killstreaks wouldn't work because so many maps are indoors.

ACOG is not a broad range of scopes. It is a series of scopes made by Trijicon. This is yet more proof that you got much of your information on weapons from Call of Duty, not a real source.

It is okay to take things from other games that would help your game. You are asking for a Call of Duty game set in 2552. Halo is based on the idea of forcing you to find different weapons, especially power weapons. Not giving the player custom loadouts lets Bungie add more variety of playlists.

A the risk of sounding like people from the Reach forum during the beta, if you want to play Call of Duty, play Call of Duty.

You have to be patient here. The Flood has much more traffic than the Universe, so threads get posts much faster.

sadly i agree with him. Halo and CoD are different. Halo tries to be as balanced as possible. CoD cannot compete with tat. All guns are different and one could be better than the other. Now suppose we threw tat into reach? its like other armor ablilites. Gives people with AL an advantage over ppl with sprint.

additionally there are no covenant stuff...

Im just trying to generalize my ideas, there would of course be covenant guns. But I dont feel like spending another 2 hours on this.

Also a clarification:
The custom loadout option would only take up one slot of the built-in loadouts for that specific gametype. For games such as Infection, Invasion, Race, etc. custom loadouts would be disabled.
