The thing is, a lot of the best default Halo Reach players and some of the biggest default Halo 3 Matchmaking warriors.
Gotta love those verb-less sentences.
If you derank in matchmaking, you're an idiot. There's no other way around it. I'm not saying that because I'm mad-- it's just logic.
No matter how good you think your booster is, it's faster just to play the game as intended. It takes dozens of hours to accrue that many wins on an account, and then several more to delevel it. (And those are man-hours; I can easily win a game with one or even two standstills on my team; derankers figure that out, so these days, they're all active participants in the game). Now, if you actually had skill, and brought a friend with you, how long does it take to get a 50? Half a day? So what's the point?
NO ONE is going to pay for 50's anymore, not in this day and age, when so few people still play H3 as it is. And even if you do manage to sell one for 10 bucks worth of paypal credit: Congratulations, you just dumped about 20 hours of work into a 10 dollar profit. At that hourly rate, you could have earned more money harvesting rice in Bangladesh.
If anything, derankers are more prevalent now than when I last played about a year ago. It staggers the imagination that some people have so little to do with their time that they find ways to cheat in a video game and devote themselves to with as much fervor as Gautama the Ascetic practicing meditation.
But I guess it isn't so bad. I didn't play Halo 2, but I here matchmaking was even more rife with cheating. (actual cheating, not just manipulation).
Do you agree with this guy or not?
