Subject: Armor abilities in the remake?

Just wondering if anyone thinks they would add them? I know Master Chief has different armor, so I was unsure. Btw, I hate Reach for the armor abilities, so I don't want them to be.

I had 3 Halo 3 Beta Invites, 2 Halo: Reach Beta Invites

Hell no!

Haha. Glad to see someone agrees with me.

Due to some e-mail dumbness, my GT is not the one listed on my profile. My GT is the same as my board name.

I think they might add Sprint, seeing as it was intended as early as Halo 2 (cut due to time constraints). I would like to see that, but only that.

You know, if there were ever to be a legitimate remake of the game, borrowing large mechanics from other titles of the series that were nonexistent in Combat Evolved would be disregarding the definition of the word to a pretty large degree.

Hypothetically speaking, I can't quite foresee armor abilities making an appearance, but it's ultimately up to the developer in charge of the decision making and execution. Depends whether or not it is created as a picture perfect replica or a spiritual successor with additions.

I wouldn't mind being able to strap on a jetpack at some point in the campaign, stealing it from some elites, or sprint, as it's a fairly standard feature, but no the more exotic abilities like hologram or armor lock. Perhaps treat them as one-off pickups? Limited non-recharging use and hard to find?

But not as they are in Reach, it'd be too radical a change.

Sprint for Spartans and Evade for Elites.

Armor Lock for Grunts :)

''We ride together, we die together, bro's and bad boys for life''

No. I want the remake to be exactly like CE gameplay and story wise.

amor abilities are the dumbest thing bungie has ever created sprints fine everything else is -blam!- retarded

Ratermelon416

Sprint would be Amazing. Maybe, MAYBE, add active camo. I would like to see the jetpack used at least once.

The elites should use camo and evade

Sprint for Spartans and Evade for Elites.

Armor Lock for Grunts :)
This.

But let's be more specific.

Grunt Minor = none
Grunt Major = none
Grunt Ultra = armor lock
Grunt Spec Ops = active camo

But if there are Ultra Grunts, no cheap helmet for them. Should be one headshot. The armor lock will compensate as well as a lot of health.

Elite Minor = none
Elite Major = none
Elite Ultra = evade
Elite Spec Ops = drop shield
Elite Zealot = hologram and evade
Elite Ranger = jetpack

Possible scenario:

-Assault on the Control Room, first bridge
You kill all the Covies, you trigger the Zealot, you spot him, he charges at you, you overcharge your plasma pistol, nail him, but he disappears. The Zealot quickly closes the distance and you're dead. The hologram would work best with a Zealot.

Get the -blam!- out. AA have no place in this game.

I like it how people who play Reach do something like go to sleep and people think therefore Reach is losing players.

How about there be two versions of the remake one is Halo CE with updated graphics and that's it and another version that is Halo CE with AAs,Reach weapons and vehicles Etc?

I'm not that much of a Reach fan. I just want to see AI improvement.

No way, all I'm hoping for is a graphics update and online play. That's it.
