The thing is, a lot of the best default Halo Reach players and some of the biggest default Halo 3 Matchmaking warriors.

Gotta love those verb-less sentences.

Practice, play team snipers, aim for the head, practice [did i already say that?], and play on 10 sensitivity. It helps once you adjust to it, so you can turn around fast.

Disregard my first post OP. The first step to becoming a better halo player, in general is never listening to the 2nd account failiures.

Do not try to switch your sensitivity unless its a last resort. I play on 2 and I have a couple hundred wins on my snipes 50.

The key is practice. Take an account you dont care about, and go search with someone at a high level who doesnt care if they win or lose. Try finding someone about 10 levels higher than yourself and even though you will get graped you will get much better much faster

Promoting ignorance again? How nice of you. This is not a second account failure. In your eyes sure, you're a 50. In my eyes, it still has potential.

I play on a 10. I find it much better, as I can turn around faster, out br better, and lead my shots.

I understand that. You are a much better player than I. Playing on a 6 up is more advantageous as it provides an extra split second, enough to make a difference in gameplay. Regardless, I am better than under 45s. And some 45-47s.

It might not be the case for you, as you guys are top notch players. But in the lower 40s, if it takes you twice as long to turn around, it takes that much extra time to put the kill down. Or clean up a kill. Either way, it makes sense. The less time it takes you to do something, the faster it will be done. Therefore, you will be done faster than if you were on a 1. Sometimes, that extra time is enough to determine the difference between life and death. In reality, not much of a difference. For some it is hard to play on a 10, and others prefer a lower sensitivity. I just like 10, and I feel that I have an advantage as I can turn around, focus my scope, lead my shots, move my reticle etc. more quickly. Really, it comes down to what you prefer. But I don't see how that is the 'dumbest' thing you have seen. Not heard.

you can turn around as fast as you want, but if you can't keep your aim steady then it won't help you one bit. 10/10 times i'd rather take that extra half a second to turn around if it means i can land all my shots.

i have never seen a good player that plays on 10, and i guarantee you would be better if you moved down to something like 3 or 4.

I can play on every sensitivity. I have actually used every single one for at least a week, and I can honestly say 10 is a big disadvantage. There are very very few people that can actually play on 10 with consistency, I would highly suggest moving down to 4 or 5, you will still move faster than most people, but you will find yourself much more consistent

Eh, a few MLG pros play on a 10, and a few of my friends do too. And they arent bad. http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Halo3/Default.aspx?player=mah+lil +sis&sg=1 <Plays on a 10.
I'll move down to a 4 and see if my gameplay improves. Hopefully, it will XD

no MLG pro plays on ten, last time i checked everyone played below 4, with a couple of people on 5 and 1 on 6. maybe this changed recently but i doubt it.

the point is that pretty much every good player plays below 5 or 6. you may think that turning around quickly is an advantage, but really it's not. playing on 10 is just a needless handicap.

Understood. I will lower my sensitivity to a 4. But honestly, I know a few people who are beast on a 10, so you can't say every good player playes below a 5 or 6

It depends what you play.

SWAT is far easier on a higher sensitivity as all you need is 1 shot. Whereas MLG and Slayer are better on a lower sensitivity where 1st shot doesn't matter, it is about how steady your aim is. Snipers, some of the best play on 10, some play on 1. It just depends what you are use too.

Well, on my connection it is lies. Although, if it is a West Coast host, I find SWAT mostly 1 shot kills.
