Subject: How many Spartan 2's and 3's where there?

My Grandfather was a Desert Ranger, my Father was a Veteran Ranger in the NCR. My father was killed by Caesar's Legion and they took my Brother. It's now my responsibility to uphold the mantle of the Rangers and avenge my Father and find my Brother.

How many?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I'm not sure about Spartan-IIs, those numbers have constantly been in flux.

Spartan-IIIs:
- Alpha Company (300)
- Beta Company (300)
- Gamma Company (330)

= 930

~1000 Spartan-IIIs. Both Alpha And Beta had also over 300 during training.

~50 Spartan-IIs. Not less than 40, and no more than 70.

Retardo there was only 33 spartan 2's.

That's what made spartan 2's so much more special there were so few but posed such a threat to the covanant.

Not even close to truth.

I like the Mk V armor.

It's completely unkown, As far as we know, Alpha(300), Beta(300), and Gamma(330-400) had these numbers because of squads like Noble team(Imagine a Gamma team with extra training).

Spartan IIs were below the hundreds, around 75, but books and and possibly Reach(Gauntlet could, and most likely is II, and that other team as will).

Until the correct story bible is released, we don't know.

150 spartan ii's were picked and about
less than half survived augmentation and aren't there less than 15 left according to the books? the ones stuck inside the onyx shield master cheief and gray team?
possibly red team from Halo wars?
300 iii's in alpha, beta, 330 in gamma

Delta Company is a group of SPARTAN-III candidates that were going to be trained in the year 2552. However, Delta Company had only just begun when the Battle of Onyx occurred. It is currently unknown what happened to Delta Company after the Battle of Onyx.

On the Halo wiki it mentioned a class two of Spartan-IIs, above the 33 class ones.

Is this confirmed anywhere? Is it even mentioned? Or is it just another fanboy being a mong?

The first wave of Spartan II's had 33 graduates. But after they graduate, Medez says that he is going to train the next wave of Spartan IIs, I don't think its ever mentioned whether or not he did this before he worked with the Spartan IIIs.

Halopedia is stupid like that. The Class II's don't exist. They were from a non-canon source material, and every instance of them ever existing is completely gone at this point anyway.(The encyclopedia and Halseys Journal confirm it.)

There were:

33 "known survivors" of the augmentations. These Spartans passed the augmentations perfectly.
4 Spartan II's who had their deaths faked by ONI during augmentations, and operated without anyone knowing.(Black)
12 Spartan II's who failed the augmentations, but didn't die. Soren went MIA before he could get treated, but the other 11 got further treatment and likely went into active combat.

So, there was 47 Spartan II's who went into active duty.

Mendez went back into combat for 6 years. The funding for the Class II's was diverted into more surgeries for the original Spartan II washouts, and the entire thing was abandoned because there wasn't enough kids who fit the criteria for the program.

Enjoy what you have and live on.

My gamertag is Elder Bias

Well, it would be Spartan-IIs: 33

and, Spartan-IIIs: about 930. 3/4th of them died, only Gamma company are alive with those spartan-IIs with Dr. Halsey in shield world.

Private Caboose is correct. I fact checked them my self. You can find the info in Fall of reach, GoO and the Cole Protocol.

Can't be 930. Otherwise Noble Team and bunch of other S-IIIs can't have existed who were not assigned to suicide mission along with the rest of company.

Gauntlet and Echo Team suggest there were probably far more Spartan-II/IIIs than the numbers we've been given so far.

Eh I dont think there were really that many more. Acording to kurts letter with mendez, they picked out spartan-IIIs that had traits that were worthy of a spartan-II, removed them from the suicide operations of the rest of the S-IIIs and gave them mjolnir armor. You cant expect ALL of them ended up in noble team.

Point being, all the members of noble gauntlet and echo teams were pulled from the already existing spartan-III companies.

The dead spartans on LW are not canon. I asked Jason if it was where Bungie died during playtesting and he said "No comment."

Obvious.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Only around 35 Spartan-II's.

Close to 1000 Spartan-III's.

Hard to believe Master Chief is the last Spartan. >.>
