After years of playing Halo, I have come to the realization that the ai seems to adapt to the player the more that profile plays through the game. This is not just me my friends have had the same experience playing through the game as well. I was just wondering whether or not this has happened to more than just me and my friends. In case you dont see what I'm talking about for example when I play the level Halo, I love to snipe. I find it fun, so I do it quite often. After a while, not reverting but after days of playing the same level, my similar tactics were no longer as effective. The enemies stopped popping out; in fact a couple of times the enemies actually tried to flank me. This got me to thinking, did Bungie implement a special piece of Halo that allows the programming to calculate by the numbers what I am most likely going to try to do at any given point so that the ai can attempt to compensate for it. The adaptive ability of the ai only seems to occur in Halo 1 as the enemies in halo 2 are definitely not adaptive, helping me come to my conclusion that there is a difference. If Bungie did actually implemented such a device into the game then thank you Bungie you truly are geniouses. The adaptation really makes that game brilliant as it still is the best single player game ever (because of live, halo 2 takes the best multiplayer award).
