Here is the place to start a uniform discussion of the awesome features availible in Halo 2. Note that all of the following is speculation, but has a reasonable expectation of appearing.

The first item of interest is the new radar screen in the HUD. Frankie explained that you no longer has to guess where your teammates are. I think that it'll look something like the radar in the Rainbox 6 series, where you can see exactly where your teammates gun is pointed. The marking in your HUD may also tell you if someone is under fire, by turning yellow or red for example. Post your comments below.

That'd make things ALOT easier, more helpful. You could stratigically command your teammates more accurately. No more troops shooting eachother.. lol.

That would even better if the radar showed your teammates neutral, under fire, and firing as all different colors

Hopefully they'll have a feature where you can disable friendly fire, too. I think they had something like that in Halo PC, but I'm not sure.

The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

And not just on your radar because that only shows team mates 15 meters away. The team indicators above there head should give that information as well as having some icon to indicate they are talking during XBL games.

I'd like to see a HUD radar like that. I wonder if a HUD designed to resemble actually looking out of the MC's helmet would hinder your vision too much. Based on the books, much of the communication between the SPARTANS was done within the HUD in their helmets.

I also hope that they have a MP feature to have vehicles respawn. This way when you don't, wrecked vehicles will be everywhere. But i think vehicle respawn should only be with dead vehicles.

All right, well here's another feature I've been wanting to discuss. In the last Halo book(First Strike), they mentioned some 'upgrades' to the Chief's armor, and the Halo 2 FAQ says that the Chief gets some new 'tools' this time around. What I'm looking forward to, is when you start the game and get the new armor, you can choose one of the following: Faster speed, better armor, or increased radar detection. This would be a huge help to MP games, and a team could be made up of entirely of speed-enhanced runners trying to grab the flag. But then you could have a team full of armored guys try to defend it. What do you think about it?

That would definitely add to the strategy of the game to have specialized players for runners, juggernauts, scouts, etc. That would go really well with the online Halo world idea too. See this thread:

I always wanted where you could pick a special type of chief for your style of play that right there would make multiplayer that much more intresting along with the new guns , vehicles, and maps.

I'm really looking forward to the new vehicles, like those renders that show a snow warthog, and the kick ass ATV. I think specialty vehicles will bring a new experince ot this game and definetly new strategy.

Not to mention other possible specialites, such as:
A medic, someone who can heal people to half health.
A pilot, someone who can handle and control vehicles especially well.
A sniper, someone who can zoom with every weapon, but has less health than normal.
A hacker, someone who can use Cortana to hack into an opposing player's armor and remove the shielding for a short period of time.
A strategist, someone whose radar's field is exceptional but has poorer health.
A weapon specialist, someone who's weapons are slightly more powerful.
An armorer, someone who's health are slightly better but has slower walking speeds.
Note that the previous would only be in addition to the type of armor you chose in the beginning of the game.

I especially like the medic idea. It's so annoying being in the middle of Bloodgulch about to die with no way to heal you.
