I got to resurrect this topic (it's only a few weeks old anyways) because I have the same problem.

Then go to your memory settings and look in the Halo: CE folder. Look for a file with a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark in it. Delete that, then download it again.But what if the file is not corrupted?
EDIT!!!!!
Never mind. I finally updated it. :D Turns out you have to clear the system cache and then start up Halo CE. You should get a update prompt and this one won't cause freezing!
