Planning the cosmos for a healthier future.
I'll see if I can generate some more negative comment about the original topic with some more meat. Team 50s claim a "right" to play SBT. No problem. But, how about an average skill level's 'right' to play SBT in a competitive arena? Playing against any team with 40-50 straight wins isn't entering a "competitive" arena -- it's just wasting time. So, to preserve the attraction of H3 to the "masses" which it needs to extend its life, something has to give, and that something is the feeding of team-50s on teams of random team lower-levels. Team-50s should be banned from SBT, for the sake of saving H3.
My most recent experience with two Level 50 teams included several betrayals of the sole 'Random,' who had the audacity to grab a MG, pod, or other power weapon (but not a sniper rifle), a CTF Sandbox match in which most of the opposition quit as soon as the match started (not perceiving any 'fun' to be forthcoming, I imagine) and the 50s chasing down the final opponent for kills rather than capturing flags (and when I did, I got betrayed of course, but I still managed the final two captures while the 50s were distracted in their ridiculous hunting of the last survivor), and a match that resulted in no stats and an "Unreliable" after the 50s' twenty minutes of shinnanigans. The last game, I suffered through 15 minutes of incessant irrelevant social chat crap the whole game with little opposition other than from teammates as I tried to just finish off the CTF on Sandtrap (which I did, to their chagrin). Whether a Random on one of these teams or an opponent, what's the fun? As the original post states, they are ruining HALO 3 M/P and hastening its trip to disconnect by driving off other players. This is my week to drop H3 and commit to REACH. I'll miss it but not as much as I would have six months ago when it was still fun. Bad change, partly due to the partied-up 50s in SBT.
