I don't understand why SOOO many people disliked ODST. Sure the campaign was a little short, but once you get over that, it's one of the BEST Halo games in the series. Not counting the trilogy as a whole, ODST has the most memorable and impactful storyline out of any of the games. The characters in ODST were also the only ones in the series that I really felt attached to. ODST also had a better firefight than Reach. The ONLY problems with ODST are the lack of matchmaking, lack of attention from Bungie, and the pricetag M$ put on the game. In my opinion, it was WELL worth the money, but others didn't see it the same way. ODST was more or less a field test, (as Bungie saw it), for Reach. Bungie has always seen it as an 'expansion'and not a full game itself; had they put more time into expanding ODST, it would have easily been THE BEST game in the series. Why didn't Bungie take some good lessons from ODST and put them in Reach?
I can't wait, the very first thing I'm going to do when I get break from college is go back home and play ODST. Prepare to Drop, t-minus 21 sleeps and counting.

Im livin in fast forward and I need to rewind real slow my friends all grew up and settled down on the outskirts of town and I am living in fast forward and I need to rewind real slow because I am always running and son of a gunnin

yeah ODST's are by far my favorite guys in Halo and being able to play as one in a squad was sweet!!! I wish they would have put more ODST armor pieces in Reach so I could create a better one other than just a standard looking ODST, They all have different shoulders, helmets and I wish I would be able to change the legs to ODST types too

Yes, my frustration was that i already had all the DLC so i couldnt help but feel $60 was a rip off, but at its core i loved the single player and the story was great. I just wish more of my friends liked firefight, but most of us prefer horde/zombies.

It also makes me wonder about the things they did on reach, because it was waaaay more disappointing than ODST.

rule of thumb: double tap

yeah, odst was the [erfect blend of halo "-blam!- em up" gameplay and tactical street fighting, plus firefight was beast

you know, if it was priced at 30-40 bucks, much, much, much more people woulda praised it as one of the best of the series.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

You know our motto, We deliver!

I think it's very much under appreciated. And I still and did really enjoy it. But it is very flawed. Especially for a Halo game! The ODST cheesy character to name one.
