Subject: Which gun is stronger?

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

BR is more accurate and kills in four shots.

BR shoots 3x more than the DMR but the DMR is more acurate.

umm actually one BR 3-round burst = about 1 DMR bullet, the only reason the DMR take one more trigger pull to kill is that the BR take 4 burst to kill which equals 12 bullets, 11 bullets take out the shields, 1 bullet makes the headshot, with the DMR 4 bullets take out the shield, the fifth bullet does the headshot.

Your point is a contradiction. They are both 5 shot kill weapons where a "shot" is a trigger pull. Since the BR is burst fire, it takes a total of 15 bullets. The DMR takes 5 bullets. The math speaks for itself.

Battle Rifle.

Obviously.

according to cannon, the BR is quite a bit stronger than the DMR.
The DMR uses the same ammo type as the assault rifle while the BR uses experimental rounds that are quite a bit more powerful, and it shoots more.

well not according to CANON the MA37 AR probably fires regular NATO ball ammunition while the DMR likely fires high velocity Armor Piercing ammunition.

DMR uses same ammo as halo 3 assault rifle.
I don't know about the Reach Assault Rifle

no, the BR only takes 4 burst to kill, bungie designed both the BR and the DMR so that a player could get a triple kill without reloading if all shots/all bullets hit the target

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Well it takes 5 DMR bullets to kill, and 12 BR bullets to kill. However it takes 5 DMR trigger pulls to kill vs only 4 trigger pulls with a BR. So technically the DMR is more powerful, but the BR kills faster.

all MA5 series AR's (MA37 is part of the MA5 series) fire the 7.62 x 51 NATO rifle caliber ammunition, so does the M392 DMR, but myself and other fans theorize that the descrepinsy in stopping power can be attributed to the use of different types of 7.62 NATO ammunition in the DMR and MA37 rifles, aka ball in the AR and HVAP in the DMR.

I gaze upon the stars and see the majesty that is the universe.

EGO mos bulla astrum.

Technically the DMR. The BR technically and online wise took 12 bullets to kill totaling to a 4 shot spread. Whereas the DMR kills in five shots.

Plus the DMR is cooler IMO.

technically (not gameplay-wise) the BR wins. It fires a 9.5X40 mm (fictional) round, which packs a much bigger punch than a 7.62X51 mm (DMR), all while being able to fire automatic, burst fire, and possibly, semi. The BR is supposed to be the canonical successor to the DMR, which I obviously agree.

i think more than anything, their name really describe their purposes, the DMR is more meant for longer range accurate fire, while the BR is meant for medium range supporting fire, hence the burst fire mode
