Subject: Bungie Beta Tester Sign Up Survey

I recently got an invitation from Bungie to fill out a survey to be a Bungie Beta tester. They provide a link to the survey which asks for several details (your name, age, gender, location, etc).

On page 3, "Demographics," in question 6, it asks for a zip or postal code. Since I live in Canada, my postal code contains letters and numbers. When I enter my postal code, however, the page returns an error.

Please enter a numeric value for question number 6.It seems that it doesn't want to accept anything that contains letters.

Does anyone know if there's anything I can do about this?

*Edit: Here's the fix:

Nope. US survey = US zipcode. You could just choose a zip from some place in the states and use it. Not like you're gonna get tossed in jail for it.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I am really upset, I didn't get a beta tester email... :(

I am on here regularly and even participate in contests... :(

I cant see anything that states it is a US only survey. The huge dropdown of possible countries suggest otherwise.

Guess you gotta live outside of the US to take the US survey... :P

If it won't take any other codes, but US, it doesn't matter if it has a country drop down menu.

You can type any number in there, it doesn't have to be a zip code. Just the number 1 works.

I've just resorted to 7 instances of the number 7 (obviously). I'm sure they'll understand given nationality is also provided. Seems something of an oversight, though, considering the vast libraries of international post code parsers available. Still piqued my interest, of course ;)

The bigger sin is that Pokemon has been classed as a childrens' game. For shame.

That's what it seemed like to me. My guess is that they're asking for postal codes because they want more information about your location. If everybody outside the US puts in fake zip codes, they won't be getting the data they're after.

I thought so as well.

Although I don't really know what I'd classify it as.

I thought some of the gaming habit questions were a bit different.
