I loved ODST, and a sequel would be amazing. how about:

STORY
Focuses on buck and the team just like number 1
Has them sent BACK into New Mombassa as part of a large recon force that is tasked with discovering, in depth, what the covenant are doing there. Explores areas previously seen, and new ones, like in the Tsavo highway area. After intense guerrilla warfare, Buck and his team are captured while attempting a rescue mission and taken prisoner aboard a covenant cruiser. When the Covenant blast away to the Ark, the ODSTs are still on board. After their cruiser suffers intense structural damage from the elite force, the team's cell loses power, and they proceed to attempt a takeover of the ship... more coming later.
CUSTOMISATION
All weapons are able to be customised through parts that are found throughout the game. I'm thinking a Kotor style workbench would be cool. This customisation would apply to armour as well.
EQUIPMENT
This time the ODSTs get even more amazing spec ops weaponry, and experimental weaponry too.
Awesome new vision types, possibly X-ray, infra-red, VISR stays too.
MULTIPLAYER
yes
Invasion with drop pods that can be landed by the player.

haha the guerrila warfare thing made me laugh cuz it cant really be intense and u cant really get captured by using guerilla warfare cuz its a hide shoot and run tactic.........
still cools ideas:)

That would be a friggin awesome game. just pitching and idea here, but it would be cool if an ODST squad gets captured and tortured in a covenant cruiser, then they must break free and get the hell out of there! ODST 2 would be Epic, just needs a better name like *Halo: ODST 2 The Fight for Earth* or something like dat.

but to make this not spam, i would make odst2 taking place right after halo3 and everything is nice and quite, than the flood/ brutes/ whatever come back, and you fight along master chief in Washington (yes, just because that's where bungie hq is)

Perhaps they could incorporate the flood in this game, and make them really scary and faster as well as more hidden with better AI, they could also work for some awesome set-pieces.

I encourage fair gameplay, but I warn you, if you are facing me, watch your six.

I would love to be able to customize how your ODST looks without a helmet, as wells as being able to look around " hell's waiting room", the area before your pods. Also, choose what weapons yo drop with.

Sounds great. I think it should be about Buck's squad during Reach. They plot should intertwine with Reach's plot. For example maybe Buck and the rest of the squad destroy a phantom which houses the elite that killed Kat. They should also meet up with Jun and find out what happened to him. Also I would like to know how Buck got the planet exactly.
That would actually be pretty awesome!!

OP:
What do you mean by Battle Bro? Do you mean a gametype where one fireteam has an assualt objective while another team has a CTF objective at the same time?

Also applying this idea to campaign, I reckon it would be cool if when playing co-op each player had a slightly different objective in some parts. Slightly similar to in Gears of War where you sometimes pick paths to go down.

Halo:Reach:ODST
Follow the ODSTs on reach including the mission where six helps buck.
Needs forge including working drop pod.
only two armour abilities (as ODSTs use two) jet packs and sprint and bring back the weapons from h3:ODST no reach weapons.

Duel wield is a no-no for me, i am strongly against it, have you ever tried duel wilding an assault gun? shure odst are elite but they still wouldnt do it.
Its also bad for game play, imagine... (running around the map when you find the smg! "yes i have my fav gun!" some1 runs around the corner and you fill them full of bullets, he turns around and half mags you with an assault rifle. The guns will only be usefull if you have 2 of them, it renders having 1 smg useless!

I think if odst 2 was to come out, i would like to see:
a Match makeinging system like halo reach,
rank system like halo 3,
forge like halo reach but human themed,
vehicles like halo odst, (feel heavy and beliveable to drive)
all weapons through out the halo universe,
armor customisation like reach but more odst themed (unlocked by achivements, waypoints and rank),
custom games like reach,
the story to be set on earth still,
flood to be involed in the story,
Infection with flood player skins available,

What? ODST felt like a huge, open city. I love the atmosphere and the feeling of it.

Why did Bungie fail on making New Alexandria (Exodus lol) feel like an actual city rather than a copy-paste building and structure mission?

Got this: Story set completely in space; missions where the main ODST drops in on enemy ships, freeing captive marines, investigating UNSC vessel wreackages, and much spacecraft battling. I guess tat sounds a lot like Star Wars, but what eva. Also, I think to make the character more attatchable, there should be no back and forth campaign role play between other ODSTs. Since ODSTs are adept at space fighting, much of the battles should take place in zero gravity enviroments (like Cairo Station in Halo 2)Also, if Halo 3: ODST 2 is made into a game, it should have powerups too, like reach, but only jetpacking, hologram, and sprint will be allowed, and the original Halo powerups should be broght back: active camo and overshields. Obviously, active camo and overshields would be temporary, and standard powerups such as jetpacking, would not be able to be used at the same time as the pick-up powerup.

hello to y'all i'm new in this "social network" thingy sorry about the errors but i'm only portuguese i think the idea of a sequel to ODST it's very cool here's my opinion- i think that adding new moves such as rolling, climbing etc. will slow a bit the gameplay and will make the character to "solid snake" because you can already see those moves in mgo you can jump and things are good how they are, so i say forget the"special moves" system

NEW MULTIPLAYER MODES:

Secure the civilians:
Secure the civilians is a gamemode where you haft to get all of the civilians to the transport(Pelican) and elites or brutes or both haft to stop you from getting them to the transport veicle.

New kind of infection:
instead of just eing your guy infected why dont we use flood as infected guys.

3 Team death match is flood against elites against spartans
if 16 player 4 aside if 32 players 8 aside :).

FETURES:

Fullly armor custimization
oviously like halo 3 and reach but you can put flames across your armor or legendery symbol on you chest ect.

customizable elites, brutes and flood.

NEW ARMOR ABLITIES:

Instead of halo reach where you select or pick armor abilities up you buy abilities so you get sprint or evade as default and you haft to buy stuff like overshield, camo, ect.

STORY MODE:

you could be on a diffrent planet, halo ring, reach, and you haft to like disarm bomb and secure a place rescue soldiers ect.

FORGE:

you could start off with a plain map and you could select like a rain forest, city, blood gultch ect.

WEAPONS, EXPLOSIVES, ASSASINATIONS:

bring back dual wielding.
Buy your own ASSASINATIONS.
all weapons from ODST, HALO 3, HALO REACH.
BRING TRIP MINE BACK!!!

FIREFIGHT:

could have flood attack and elites defend against
and the same firefight as halo reach so you can set up how ever you want ur firefight game.
