you can play as: ODST, Spartan, Elite.(personally, i don't think playing as Brutes would be a good idea, you would lose the sense that the brutes are the enemy. in Halo 2 they introduced the Elites to multiplayer gameplay, because they are now the good guys.)

I would enjoy playing as a squad elsewhere on Earth. The Halo games have only explored battles in New Mombasa and the Continent of Africa. It would be cool to play as ODST's in other parts of the world. I know there where large battles in places like Cleveland and Australia.

- Reduce the jump height from the original, and give them a more human feel.

- No ripping off and carrying turrets.

- Lessen their stamina before taking actual damage.

- Only being able to carry two different grenade types, and only two or three of each of those.

I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. I loved ODST, I don't see why people hated. I do have some ideas of my own that I would like to see in this "ODST 2".

My ideas are:

-I think we would need to give this game an RPG feel, so that means we get to pick male or female, make the face look like your face, and be able to select specials for your character.

-I think the introduction of armour abilities would be cool in this game. We should always have a flash light and the sprint option along with the capability to climb over objects. BioFoam would let you heal yourself and team mates health up to 75%, Jet pack, VISR which has thermal/inferred/the outline system from ODST, and flare which is you shot up a flare and there is now an arrow on everyones FOF.

-Fall damage should stay, assassinations are in, always have a knife for stealth kills.

-Be able to customize your weapons to an extant.

Example: Base AR -> Silencer: none, Scope: None, Ammo: Standard, Full auto.
Custom AR -> Silencer: Yes, Scope: x2 multipier, Ammo: AP, 3 round burst.

-A complete armoury:
Helmet
Shoulders, Left and Right
Torso
Knife placement
Thighs, Left and Right
Wrists, Left and Right
Hands, Left and Right
Kneepads
Backpack like Micky has.
Visor Colour

The armour you choose should affect game play, so if you are this big bulky dude you are going to take more damage but be slower.

Emblem customization such as in Call of Duty: Black Ops

Have a colour wheel for selecting your colour, be able to paint each armour a different colour.

Will be thinking of Campaign and Multiplayer ideas in a later time.

rule of thumb: double tap

more supressed weps w higher acuracy then non silenced counterparts and they also dont signal enemies,a grenade launcher that acts like a modern MGL with changeable rounds, reg. (exsplosive), toxic gas nades (damage over time), incidiary (fire duh), plus the stanchion guass rifle from contact harvest if taking plance in mombassa, or on earth in general, elites fighting brutes, and badass ODST allies.and exicutions which are optional actions for badass effect. example: you fighting an elite and you kill him, if you want to hold rb to execute, if you do the elite staggers and tries to break your head with its PR, you grab it and foce it back next to its head and you force it to pull the trigger

oh yeah and dont even think about saying china called it wants its wall back.

i want to see a new "armor ability management system, use some of the lonely buttons on the d-pad, LB is still use your AA's, but left on the d-pad cycles trough your AA selection (campaign only), sprint can be swapped for evade, and jetpack and other armor abilities could be rotated as a second slot, you have two AA's at a time, one for maneovouring and one "other AA" the is selected via d-pad, use via LB

visr should have a day mode that allows for use during the day time as well in order highlight maybe enemies and allies only.

Yes to assassinations, especially against brutes.

make all human weapons more powerful (on par with halo 3). and allow the player to select what kind of pistol they want, M6C: less recoil (no expanding reticle) and stopping power, larger magazine; or M6G: more recoil (expanding reticle) and stopping power, smaller magazine. both with suppressors in some missions.

fully integrate "out of the pod" combat, fight from the second you hit the ground like in the ODST live action short.

finally make ODST's feel like Bad ass marines, they should be strong enough to break a grunts face with a single punch and marine allies should be able to take similar amounts of damage as the player. also bring back useful AI teammates like in Halo 3, Noble teams AI suck!

each type of attachment need to have a defined set of pros and cons in order to maintain the halo balancing feel. for weapons i think that you should have the choice between two of the same type of weapon to determine starting weapons, for example, M6G or M6C, MA5C or M7 SMG, BR or DMR, and than attachments will be assigned not choosen in campaign, and for multiplayer, one attachment only, some such as suppressors will stay in campaign and firefight.

armor should be unlockable in sets, for example both the left and right shoulders are bought together in the armory.

leave emblem customization to call of duty. focus more of armor component customization.

one of the multiplayer species should be brutes, just like reach, each species have their own pros/cons.

campaign should be a split narrative following both buck and dutch in seperate squads until at one point their squads end up folding into one another. the story follows these two on interlaced mission, often each squad being assigned to a mission the directly affects the other squad (destroying wraiths or AA batteries). the campaign culminates with buck and dutch's squad trying to help a lance of elites defect in 2551, near the end Brutes will be encountered for the first time and all hell brake lose. ends with death of all but one of the Elites, huge ONI cover up, Spartan-II timely intervention, and the death of most of the squad, thereby leaving existing canon intact. AND NO NAMELESS, FACELESS CHARACTERS, I'M GETTING SO SICK OF THAT!

Sneak Peak: My idea for the first level

Title: familiar territory
location: UNSC destroyer in geosync orbit above Reach
Coporal Taylor "Dutch" Miles
you start off as dutch aboard a UNSC destroyed in its onboard shooting range, the NCO in charge of the range briefs you on the training exercise you participating in, you do a quick shooting demo and play with a few grenades, afterwards you enter your drop pod and rocket towards Reach's surface, once you hit the ground the hatch pops and you have to hit the ground running, you have a few objectives you have to complete that showcase basic gameplay mechanisms and the level concludes with the exercise ending and your battalion recieving deployment orders to some planet where intel suggests a covenant invasion might occur soon.

I know this is the obvious choice but it's so perfect: Bucks squad in New Alexandria. Think about how cool it would be. Fighting through New Alexandria and at some point it starts getting glassed. Maybe Noble could make an appearance at some point. Firefight matchmaking would be a no brainer since Reach already has it. It would be awesome.

Great ideas, here are mine.

-A new sneak mode called "Recon mode", while in recon mode, you are in third person view, and a meter will appear showing how close the enemy is to seeing you or hearing you.

-(First thing's first, this will apply to all of Firefight) Each ODST can pick a class before the game begins. A medic class(heal teammates), an engineer class(fix vehicles), a Sniper class(umm Snipe!), and a Recon class(silenced weapons, a knife, and Recon mode enabled).

-Scarabs now appear in Firefight.

-A new Objective Firefight, where you and 3 other ODST's have to roam around the city of New Mombasa and rescue civilians. The game ends once everyone is dead, and the game gets harder and harder as you progress. Also, you cannot kill any civilians or the mission will fail.

That's about it, I'll think of some Campaign ideas.


OMGWTFBBQ but awesome to scarabs in firefight,

and i really like the idea of random civilian rescues as a firefight mode: Hero Mode: Trooper go save some civies!

Okay guys give me a chance before you hate on me for suggesting what I am about to well suggest.

I think the use of Natal would be acceptable in some situations such as in the beginning of ODST when you had to arm the explosive bolts to detach the HEV's door. Another place I think it would cool to use it in a cut scene physique when you would have to remove a piece of shrapnel lodged in your leg and then spray the BioFoam in. I think it would also be cool to be able to through it to your AI squadmates, this of course can be used with a mic also.

i'm not going to hate on you but honestly i don't think their would really be much use for kinect unless they could fully integrate all aspect of gameplay in some way to the motion sensing technology, but a possible idea is if they could develop some system that combines the regular controller plus the kinect.

I would love to see more of New Mombasa during the battle. ODST was really underrated in my opinion. It had a great soundtrack that really fit the mood of being alone in an enemy occupied city.
