I hate radar in a 1v1 because then you can just camp and watch them on the radar. Don't worry about trying to be sneaky either, that's pointless. Don't worry about trying to outplay the other guy, there's a radar.
No radar makes every encounter come down to chance and discourages chasing.
With radar whoever sees the other person first gets the kill unless you run away. Without radar it's an even fight because both players are aware of the other's position.
With radar you can chase because you know whether or not they're camping. Without radar they're either camping or running away. Without radar you have to be cautious when they run away, which allows them to easily run away if needed.
The mentality that "omg herp there is camo, mauler and no radar derp thats so unfair derp" is so stupid. You know there's camo, you know there's mauler, if you're good, you'll know when camo spawns. Therefore, you should know when they will be coming.
You can know when camo spawns, but that doesn't mean camo isn't absurdly effective in a 1v1 without radar. It turns it into a "who sees who first except one guy is invisible", which is terrible.
You just like sitting on S3 with the snipe all game. No radar/camo forces you to actually move off S3 to get the camo.
Hurr, I'm losing better force the guy who's winning to run top mid so I can get an easy kill.
No radar + camo + snipe = perfect 1v1 settings.
No.
You're just bad if you can't anticipate the movement of the other player.
If you can anticipate what other people are doing that well then you should be playing the stock market instead of H3. Randomness has no place in video games. And yes, guessing where someone is is essentially random.
