Halo 2 for Life!

Directional = other halos
But it was much smoother, which allowed for better flow.

Sort of like attacking in a RPG or something but with more need to guide your attacks, but way less need than other halos.

It was a much better system of attack and defend or just plain attack as it introduced geometry to the levels (compared to a RPG) that made attacks hard to pull off and misses occurred because of uneven ground or the enemy took cover.

It was a game that was in sync with the way I wanted to be challenged in a battle. Adding the uniqueness of others it was incredibly deep in the ways we could attack and defend.

Try beat downs in all 5 Halo games and Halo 2 will be much smoother even if you don't use button combos because of the guide assist I guess but each attack seemed to flow from one to another and not stagnant pause and wait defend, attack, move, it was get a move on or you're a goner. Confuse, disorient and conquer all in one motion of attack and the flurry that went alone with that. Keeping one's head right well everything was going on all at once.

If I refined this it probably would make more sense but that is basically what I wanted to say (probably not the best way to say it though lol).

Halo 2 a brilliant master piece!

Halo 2 forever!

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Oh look, not this thread again.

So in short, Halo 2 is better because it's more n00bified.

Halo 2 forever!

More proof to my theory that h2fans are brainwashed.

"this thread again" = New thread, than you are right.
"more n00bified" = the greatest game ever in the way you use it.
If "brainwashed" = by my own will than you are correct.

Arrogant hyperbolic exclamations of woe? Seems like a normal day for Halo/Bungie.net.

While the game is a brilliant master piece, I also feel like most Halo 2 fans are even worse than the diehard Reach-fanboys.

Anyways, methinks this game was really smooth. Halo 3 has the least "smoothness" imo.
I don't know what it is, really. H2 also felt really "glitchy". It feels kinda weird to look around and move in this game.

I like the game but I prefer reach and 3. The hitboxes in 2 are way to big IMO.

Halo 2 for Life!

rather have glitchy vs restricted flow and smoothness.

Halo 2 for Life!

Hit boxes were just right to remove restictions in the timing it took to go from screen to mind to controller to screen, in other words it helped maintain smoothness with lag.

Pronounced "Nay-uss"

People seem to forget that hitboxes aren't the be all and end all of a Halo game.

Sure, Halo 2 has massive hitboxes and magnetism but Halo 3 has the AR charge and retarded melee system.

Sure, the sniper was easy in Halo 2, but Reach's isn't all that much harder to use. It has a healthy dose of auto-aim. Players are sluggish. Easy pickings, non?

Halo CE most definitely required the most skill. But, as we all know, that game was intended for splitscreen / LAN and so did not require magnetism etc.

Halo 2 was intended for LIVE and so the basic principle of hit detection was 'noobified.'

It was perhaps a little over-compensatory, but the fast pacing of the game still sorted the wheat from the chaff.

There was no B.S like the Spartan Laser, equipment or Missile Pod to get in the way of the flow of the game, or to give any one player such an advantage as to render entire elements of the game obsolete.

There was no B.S like Armour Abilities or a flawed bloom system to increase the random aspects of gameplay.

Halo 2 may have been much easier than CE in terms of hit detection or magnetism, but it was the last Halo in which the better player was sure to win.

TL;DR It takes more than aim assist to 'noobify' a game.

Halo 2 for Life!

If halo 2 was noobified I sure wish Halo 3 was to but sadly it wasn't and it was much worse than halo 2 for that reason and many others.
I also have to agree H3 laser = BS.

I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. ~ Mark Twain

Game flows really well.
