It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Wouldnt it be nice if we the members didnt post at all tommrow so the Mods dont have to moderate on Christmas day?

Even better if all the forums got closed just one day, hell not even one day maybe just 12 hours.

No Posts=No flame=No spam=No mods having to moderate= more time with familys for the members and mods.

Just a thought

Merry Day before Christmas

Maybe a temporary blacklisting for everyone on the day of Christmas? It would certainly solve the problem of flaming and spam.

Not everybody is Christian, so, tomorrow is just an ordinary day for some.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

Déjà vu.

But would people really leave, or do you think that a lot of jerks would take advantage of the holiday absence and try to tear down the forums?

Even if we leave for the day, the mods will still have to come here and moderate.

There are doubtlessly people so sad and mentally impaired that they would look forward to coming and making the mods' lives that little bit worse on the big day - just show some respect and [cliched booming, American voice]spirit[/voice] and anyone who comes online, don't be a jerk. It's never going to be perfect - so perhaps just ignoring the morons would be a more successful remedy, by not replying to their posts. There won't be nearly as many people online, so I'm sure the ones that are can take care of themselves enough not to cause the moderators any excess stress.

Different timezones.

Anyway, yeah, you can just use the other thread that is discussing the exact same thing.
