I've read the book, but for some crazy reason I want to read a detailed definition other than the one in the book.

I wake up to find myself
After all these years
And where all the time has gone
Still seems so unclear

Cryptum: A Crypt, a place for dead people to reside.

I believe that Cryptum isn't exactly a crypt. It's something similar. Or I am wrong and it's just a cooler name for a crypt. Dictionary didn't give any explantion to it so maybe you're right.

In latin, "um" at the end of a noun is possessive. So one could deduce the title of the book as "My Crypt." Since it's written in the 1st person.

If I remember correctly, a cryptum is a place for a Forerunner warrior-servant to reside in stasis. They can stay there for thousands of years, and usually enter cryptum due to shame.

Yeah, pretty much this. It's a stasis-crypt.
