one shot from a sniper would take down a juggernaut cause the sniper can pierce through 13 feet of flesh and bone without stopping

I have a question....would Armor Lock deny a kill from the Tactical Nuke?

That... That is a good question.

but a bigger question is... what if it hits the armour locking spartan directly... does it bounce back (Like rockets do) and destroy whatever fired it?

Never say you're bored. Never say you're satisfied with the world. Never stop doubting or questioning things. Always wonder. Always think. But always take time to drop your guard, you don't have to be smart all the time.

Nukes aren't like rockets, they are exploded in atmosphere. The answer is yes, sparten's armor lock can survive falling down toward a planet.

I put the laughter in manslaughter

a hunter alone could take basically all of CODs stuff out.

  • 03.08.2011 1:53 PM PDT

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

hmmm...soldiers with wwii, vietnam, or modern weapons

or

soldiers with weapons from 500 yrs in the future...

I wonder who's gunna win.

I think machinima on YouTube did a "battle" video and gave the cod marine the win over masterchief

Then that person didn't take into account that chief has been trained to kill since he was six, was made into a superhuman, and has super advanced armor. What an idiot.

  • 03.08.2011 2:12 PM PDT

plus halo has a an explainable hud. When in Cod how do you know when your out of ammo

  • 03.08.2011 4:37 PM PDT

I'm pretty sure even 1 Spartan is somehwat unfair. The 20 Grunts would have a decent chance, like the 5 elites.

  • 03.08.2011 7:19 PM PDT

1 Spartan can take 20 ODST's by themselves. I'm pretty sure 5 on top of a bunch more support could take down anything Call of Duty could throw at them.

  • 03.08.2011 7:28 PM PDT

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

I will bring five super soldiers with energy shields, five aliens who also have energy shields, 20 more armored aliens, the two latter of which have weapons that fire plasma that can burn through almost anything (EOD armor of the juggernaut anyone?) and pit them against 20 marines with lower caliber weapons and dogs!!!

Oh yeah, the first group has four giant heavily armored aliens who fire big balls/rays of death and a vehicle that fires aforementioned plasma in massive quantities.

You tell me who wins.

If you didn't Play Halo: CE or Halo 2 MP, your opinion about Halo means nada.

CE + H2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> H3+Reach+H4

who cares about CoD. Battlefield crushes it in every aspect...

http://sigs.i7m.net/unsc/jokerfan8.png

Wait, so five biomechanically enhanced supersoldiers who stand 7 feet tall and wear armor made of solid lightweight Titanium with SHIELDS, five 8 foot tall aliens with Plasma weapons capable of melting through human flesh, 20 infantry soldiers with Energy based weapons and grenades, 4 walking tanks with arm cannons that could easily destroy steel, and vehicles capable of turning entire planets to glass VERSUS 20 lack luster, slack jawed marines, cute little puppies, and Humvees.

Really?

5 spartans, 5 elites,20 grunts, and 4 hunters with all weapons and vehicles can take out marines, dogs, and juggernaut with weapons and vehicles.
The Halo side has a bigger, stonger army. The grunts would take out the marines because little people are deadly.FEAR THE LITTLE PEOPLE!!!A sniper can take out the juggernaut. And the dogs I feel bad for...

I for one think this vs is hilarious. Especially those who claim Halo is
more realistic in all areas. Those who make that claim in all seriousness simply make me giggle like a madman.

Now since the OP is severely lacking in details, I'm going to assume he means all the Call of duty series and what that intails.

20 bog standard marines with their choice of weapons as well as jugger armour. Now compared to the OP's Halo forces, the CoD forces seems a little lack luster. I mean come on what does CoD weapons have on Halo weapons?

Well Iron Sights for one, which means they are not forced to only Hollywood hip fire like a majority of Halo weapons do. Second, they have access to a wide range of heavy Machine guns and Missiles, as well as some heavy sniper rifles(one of which is actually an AT rifle). Last but not least, they use tanks that were designed by people who actually know what they are doing,

Really all the CoD force really has to do is camp in a relativly secure area, and use .50 caliber MGs on anything that comes within range, which mind you is greater than 95% of halo weapons.

All in all it's a actually fair fight, the incompetent Halo with future armour/shields but -blam!-ier guns vs the competent CoD with -blam!-ier armour, but better guns.

Now if it was Twenty Characters from the Halo seiries with access to their hand held weapons (no vehicles) and demonstrated Abilities vs Twenty CoD Characters with their weapons and demonstrated abilities; this would be an interesting fight.

One side with super soldiers, aliens, and Future Tech vs Another side with impossible badasses, Crazy Awesome Killers, and -blam!-/Soviet Super Science....

I think I will need more popcorn....and posssibly a change of pants.

Miranda Keys crash landing the pelican instead of using the chin gun whilst saving Johnson.

Halo Reach; just to name a few;

Kat pulling back the recon teams several hours before making an assault, the old information getting the primary assault force slaughtered.

Not imediately killing the zealot that held the marine captive long enough to put some distace between Noble and itself.

Not bringing a back up detonator for their makeshift slipspace bomb.

The covenant sniper who decided one Deamon was enough, despite having an entire squad in it's grasp.

Do I really need to go on?

1. Plot purposes, why make Miranda kill everybody and end the game when you can actually do something yourself?

2. They knew they would face resistance, there was no use in staying there.

3. Again, for the plot/game. Would you rather just see them kill the Zealot or actually kill it yourself?

4. You make it sound like it's easy to get back-up pieces.

5. Kat was the only one without shields.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

The Covenant alone would be enough. Spartans are just overkill.

1. Having Miranda kill/maim the brutes would not have ended the game, it would simply have prevented a needless death.

2. Yes there would be resistance regardless, the crucial difference is that those poor UNSC chaps would have been better prepared for the covenant, rather than reciving a ssurprise -blam!-. Kat managed to get the entire task force killed.

3. There are better ways of doing that, such as an interactive cutscene.

4. One could have made a suitable back up out of a candle and string, it's not that hard to hurry rig something as a detonater

5. Might I be so bold as to ask why that woud have prevented the covenanat from simply using the gunship on noble?

Youre asking this at the home of Halo... What kind of results do you think youre going to get?

Marley: next time try to be a little for inconspicuous.
John: What do you mean?
Marley: John, we grow lots of gear, right?
John: Yeah loads...
Marley: So try not to come back with a wasted girl and a packet of fertilizer!

I think one spartan could probably take them all down at once. CoD guys only need ONE headshot or a couple of body shots to die and the assault rifle fires very quickly. The dogs would just be useless because spartans have shields and the juggernaut could just be slowly killed off if you weren't in a hurry.

I'm serious, one spartan is all you need, two at a push. The rest is just overkill, especially the hunters.

The Spartans shields can be brought down by 7.62 NATO Rounds, a .50 Cal MG is would be considered overkill against the Spartans and the elites, let alone the Death machines(Chain Guns). As for the hunters, break out any one of the dozens of rocket/missile launchers at CoD's disposal, from the humble bazooka and panzersreck, to the AT-4 and the RPG-7.

Gods help the Halo force if the CoD team breaks out the Wonder Weapons.
