So im wondering what the difference is between the original release of halo evolutions and the volume one and volume two release is? Did they just split the original book into two halves?

If i own and read the original one is it worth buying the two volume set?

I'm not sure, what are some of the stories in the original? I read the first, so if they're the same, you're probably all good.

I supposed that teabagging is.... what, a representation of a new form of colonoscopy?

Nvm this, sorry.

Fear the Red Comet

Variety is the spice of life.
Long live games.
Death to all fanboys.

The separate volumes have the original short stories split between them and both have one new short story each. That's it. They're rather short at that....Not really worth buying.

The two volume set contains a few extra stories and new artwork. It's about an extra 200 pages of material.

Not even close. If you don't know, dont make a guess about what's in there and try to imply that it's really how it is.

Aside from a single piece of new artwork to accompany each short story, there are only two new short stories. One of them is only 4 pages and the other is approximately 10 or somewhere close to that. The exact number of pages for the short story in volume II evades me. There is no where near 200 pages of new material when there's hardly even 50. That's even including the new art covers for each short story.

200 pages? Is it really that much? I've heard it was a lot less than that...

No...not even close. There's only approximately 20 (possibly even less, I'd have to double check) pages of new written material. The new short story in volume 1 is only 4 pages alone. Volume II's new short story is only a tad bit longer.

Okay, that's what I thought. Thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry about that, I haven't read them, I was just going by an old thread about them.

Ok so umm....what is the point of volume one and volume two in relation to the original release?

Is it just a cash-in by 343 or what? The volumes came out not long after evolutions itself iirc.

Volume I has Soma the Painter. 4 pages at the start of volume I.

Volume II has Wages of Sin. About 16 pages starting on page 283.

I have the physical copies, so I have no idea where they are positioned in the ebook versions.

Other then the fact that you will be reading the stories in a different order there is really no great reason to buy the volumes if you already have the tome.

I personally have the physical copies, I'm enjoying the second read through. There is some nice art and Soma The Painter is a good perspective and opener for the Forerunner Saga Books.

"Be Silent and Swift..."

Only two stories? I'm glad I haven't bought these yet. I have the original volume. Why couldn't they just write enough short stories to be put into a second volume instead of just splitting up the old ones?

Are the two news ones any good? I'd still like to read them, but I don't know if I'll be buying them in the current configuration.
