Halo 2 for Life!

Online Halo games are slowed down to deal with lag in both H3 and Hreach also they are based on CE type multiplayer which causes the need to slow down the game (to allow for aiming to be accurate with possible lag). In itself the slowness gives a laggy feeling but it is there to prevent lag... (slowing it down so it's smooth lag and not clunky lag). They compensated for lag in different ways than halo 2 in H3 and Hreach which ruined the way we played halo online is what I'm trying to say.

H2 solved this problem of lag by not slowing down the gameplay but increasing auto assist and hit boxes.

Still developing this thought but if anyone wants to comment that would be appreciated.

I'm trying to figure out why H3 and Hreach were so horrible... compared to halo 2 to me (in terms of online play).

Yeah, Hitboxing = fail. For example, a certan user from the maw who has never played Halo 2 Xbox online links to this halo 2 bash video (its much less exreme in acutial gameplay) which shows hitboxing, but it also exists in halo 3, which also has unbalanced weps and n00b armor (recon).

Better him than some other people...

The gameplay in Halo 3 was fine to me, I just hated almost all of the maps. The Pit and Valhalla were the only ones I can really say I liked. I hate most of the maps in Reach, also, but it's also the armor abilities and some HUD choices that keep me from playing.

Suppose he is keeping this forum alive.

I didn't have a problem with the maps in 3 but in reach I agree that the maps are terrible.

The pace in the newer sagas are emphatically sluggish in comparison. I am actually surprised somebody noticed however, because they weave little mind tricks into the game to prevent just this. In example, greater features, more vibrant than previous, causing the average gamer's mind to multi-task.

Every time your mind is called upon to do more than one thing, a little bit of focus is taken away. Thus, subverting you from minor flaws such as lag, for instance.

Because it is so small of an alteration, I am a bit surprised you noticed, however, it is also true that our subconscious minds get accustomed to things like sense of time. Although to many, this sense is not made apparent, a disciplined mind may pick up the clues, such as yours, I see.

This can also be noticed throughout the campaigns as well. (Time yourself; be astonished.)

Although I fail to see the effect of discussing it, I do agree with you completely, Sir.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Meanwhile, Unreal has no autoaim, can be played on 56k, and is 90000 times faster then h2.

My Youtube - Halo 2 Online Co-op
BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Halo 2 for Life!

Well I wish for Bungie to create another game similar to halo 2 and one thing I would need to see in that game is sped up game play. Lethargic but accurate is not for me. I like fast pace, if they need to add auto assist and larger hit boxes. This would prevent slowdowns in gameplay to incorporate accurate use of weapons.

Something about CE that they didn't need to address was lag because it wasn't a online game and the only way of doing that (to have CE online) and be accurate is to slow it down so lag won't make it clunky.

I agree they tried their best to hide this by incorporate more things in the environment (more things to do) but it doesn't compensate for the lack of movement speed. I especially despise grenade throwing in reach. Slow lobs are not what a super solider from the future would throw; they wouldn't walk about like giant mammoths either.

To someone that hasn't played Halo 2 for a long time it might sound like I'm splitting hairs but to ones that have, it should make sense as being a pretty big issue if not they might be shutting off their mind to this idea.

All I must say is H2 "felt" to me much faster and not sluggish and the opposite was true for halo's following halo 2.
