good reasons not to hate it
>good plot
>good gameplay
>good in-game music
>badass marines
if u dont like it oh well but you should you know. its great.
Actually, yeah, I do hate all the games you listed above. They might have been good in their day, but not only do they look bad now, but their incredibly boring and dull. Doom is considered a classic becasue it brought he FPS genre to the forefront of gaming, but man, if you've ever played it, you realize how ugly and boring it is. Of course, it's not fair to say that now, because naturally I'm comparing it to the games of today.
The last time I played starcraft (at least 2 years ago) I said to myself "Wow, does this game look bad!"
And personally, I think the gameplay stinks. Obviously millions of other people would disagree but I think it's boring. I'm not a big fan of RTS because they all involve pretty much the same thing: Build the biggest weapon and go blow people up. The classic RTS' like the original Warcraft and Command Conquer were great, but once every developer started doing it, it really got old fast.
And no, it isn't a referance to starcraft, it has something to do with something else, but I don't feel like pulling out the book and explaining.
