"The measure of a man is what he does with power"-Plato

I think not. I didn't like the way she was portrayed in Reach. They made her seem like this cold hearted doesn't care character.

What do you think?

Is she the biggest -blam!- in the Haloverse?

I just play for fun. MLG can kiss my ass.

No, she's just harsh woman who has no tolerance for things outside her control.

She is sharp and to the point because she knows the importance of her actions. Any particular examples?

If you haven't noticed she's the same way in the books too...

Well in Halo Reach she was kind of a -blam!- too Noble team. She seemed disappointed in Jorge.

It's like she only gives a crap about John.

In the books she was regretful of forcing kids in the Spartan project. She didn't like doing it. But after that it seems she just stopped caring.

She cares about her Spartans. She's always been up front cold to everyone else. Also disappointed in Jorge? Where? When she cut him off to get to a point? Because if so that's hardly disappointment, it's just getting straight to the point of the matter at hand. Expecting idle chit chat between them afterwards? How could they when Halsey just received Sorvad's data module that needed to be cracked asap and Carter just told Noble team to move out and prep for whatever they have to do next?

You realize the difference between the books and visual media is that visual media doesn't tell you what a character is thinking at all times. It's irrelevant how she feels on the inside, on the outside she has always presented herself as a cold and calculating person to the general public around her.

In her Journal she has time to reflect on how nice it was to see Jorge.

Otherwise her portrayal at Oni Sword Base is hardly anything different than how she operates in the books.

Halsey was my favorite Character!

She was the only person with a brain it seemed. I liked her cause she kept chewing out Noble Team.

The only person I cared about was Halsey.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

In Halo: Reach she is. In the novels she is a nice lady.

I think she was just stressed. I felt bad for how she spoke to Jorge, but she's a no Bullsh** woman, and there were more pressing matters at hand.

Sort of, but not completely the same.

Ackerson didnt care because he created spartan 3s who were used for sucide missions only.

He cared at first, but that was just because he thought it was a waste of money and that he could use the resources better.

Religion!

Bt, yeah, to be honest, she seemed a lot colder in the game.

You know you are running a hard course when your ears pop during the meet.-me

I think she was getting tired by this point, she had been in that room for a while. Even super intelligent scientists have limits.

I don't think it is fair to say she was "portrayed like a -blam!-" anyway. It was only for one scene, not every moment of Reach. Scientists would understand, low sample size equals skewed results.

As mentioned above, it's because you can "see" her thoughts in the books.

In the game, you see the person she is on the outside, while she may feel completely different on the inside.

But she wasent no where near as harsh with her Spartan II's nor with the Spartan III's in Ghosts of Onyx.

I do agree that Bungie made her a bit more a -blam!- compared to the novels, but atleast they did not exagerate it.
