Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

True or False: There are no cheats or hacks, (aimbots, wireframe, speedhacks), for the Mac version of Halo. I don't want any– just curious.

Once in a while I get a lucky streak going and get the "WTF? Haxor!!!" reaction, like they can't believe they were killed so easy, (did they ever hear of a head shot?). I'd like to be able to say, "Hey, I play on a Mac– there are no hacks." But not till I'm sure.

If there is cheats on reg. pc Halo, than there is probably cheats on the mac version.

As long as there is online gaming there will be jerks like that. I got called a hack, a n**b, and a cheat all in the same game the other night. I used to get mad, but now I just take it as a compliment.

People have to take ping delay into consideration. Things don't alway's look the way they should on a kill.

If they accuse you of cheating or whatever, just hunt them down and kill them some more.

Happy hunting.

Everything I've heard about stuff like the aimbot is that they're programs written to run in the background, and being programs, they have to be written for a specific platform, just like legit programs. Like X-Fire, which does not exist on the Mac platform. If nobody bothers to port them to the Mac, or write them for the Mac, they don't happen. And someone writing a cheat is going to write it for their platform and most people use PCs.

I've done a few google searches for Mac+ Halo+ hack and did not come up with any instances of a Mac Halo cheat or hack. Of course, some things that are considered cheats, like the wall trick in Danger Canyon work for any platform.

Sorry man, but as I would guess that Mac has its fair share of modders and hacking programs. It's not too much of a rarity for those things never to have been made. But like Zen said, (since you probably won't be able to use the argument you suggested), just take it as a compliment if someone calls you a noob--it means you're doing a good job ; )

Oh and I've always wanted, is the Mac users' versions of Halo still called Halo PC? Or is it changed to Halo Mac?

It's called Halo Combat Evolved, just like it is on the PC, which of course leads to confusion when talk of Custom Edition starts and people abreviate both as CE. With all the possible names and their abreviations, you'd have thought they could have come up with something else.

Modders probably flood it, but I agree with ZEN, so yeah.

As mentioned before by other members, there probably are quite a few hacks and cheats out there that can be used by macs, or are exclusively for macs.

But the portion of Halo players who hack and cheat usually keep to themselves. Remember that lag-compensating aimbot? Everyone thought it was to be the death sentence of Halo. But in reality, only a handful of people use it. In fact, I've never heard a report about someone using that lag-aimbot.

Long story short, those who cheat and hack usually don't use this forum, and those who do are usually purged relatively quickly. So it'd be hard for any of us here to answer your question.
