I have never actually attended PAX, but apparently it's a lot of fun. You should definitely go, Sonic.

I've told my parents about PAX. Thing is, I start school around ten days before PAX happens. Trust me, I'll be all over PAX if I go.

If this is the state of my art, then I secede.

I think it starts on a Friday and ends on a Sunday, so that's good, right? I could be wrong about that, but yeah...that's good.

You better be!
A party it will be. We're going to dominate PAX without even having Bungie there.

My only issue is with transportation. I can get there, but I doubt my parents want to drive to and from Seattle all weekend long... :/

Stupid colonels trying to talk down to people above them. They're like the homeless people of Halo's socioeconomic scale. They stink, they get in the way, they abuse people they shouldn't and they think they can do anything.

Get out of here you smelly colonels.

No

343 will save us

Maybez it was fun playing ODST firefight for 10 minutes last year, after waiting an hour and a half, but I wasn't really interested in anything else.

But if some of my XBL friends plan on going and meeting me I'd go. They should hand out those nametag stickers that say "hi my name is...' and everyone put their gamertag on it xD

Known by some, but not by all.
Soffish: Do not eat!
TWP Assistant Director.

Well it's not just the games. It's also being there with like minded people. The after parties are great. There are plenty places, good places, to eat at.

If you haven't gone before, be ready for information overload. There is so much visual stimuli that you find yourself sort of just figuratively swimming through it all.

Then after it's all over, you wish you were still there.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

This, absolutely this. It's the main reason I will probably get a hotel, even though I live about 30 minutes away. Well, that and parking I suppose.

Wooo. See you at the JC concert? ;) [Wonder if they're doing that again this year...]

I'm trying to find an apartment that's near Kirkland for school, how long would the drive be from there to downtown?

It kind of depends one what else is happening that weekend (when I went they had bumbershoot on the same days along with other activities, and Seattle traffic was pretty bad). I'd have to give it about 40 minutes if I wanted to make sure I wasn't late. It might be closer to 30, but the 520 bridge is notorious for some of the worst traffic in the state, so any small backup could turn pretty ugly. 40 minutes should cover the amount of time it might take to find a decent parking spot as well. (Final note: if there happens to be no traffic and you're a fast driver, you could probably get the trip done in 20-25 minutes. So if you don't mind being late in case of traffic, it's really not all that bad.)

I should note that I don't make the trip often (or really at all) myself, so I'm just going off of what I know of the area traffic wise.
