I can't even play halo mac on it, because the computer is too slow to even play the one player game. I'm looking into buying a new WINDOWS, so I can play Halo CE, but if I got one, I woukdn't have enough money left to buy a 360. (I will be getting a 360 for my birthday if I don't get it now.) Is this a good choice, or a bad one?

Put your money in your pc! Don't get sucked into the 360 hype. The possibilities are endless with a computer. Yeah it takes a few more bucks, but you can use your pc for so much more than just gaming.

So can the 360, but a PC can do even more! So I would suggest getting a good PC.

I definitely recommend the PC. But here are the pros and cons...

If you're used to the Mac interface, you'll have a bit of a problem adjusting to the more complicated Windows interface. Besides, if you get a PC, as with any computer, you'll need to check for computer tech spec/game compatibility and install the games before you can use them. If you just want to pop in a disc and start gaming, you'd be better off with the console.

On the other hand, the PC is upgradeable...new HDs can be installed, more RAM added, processors can be upgraded. As another user mentioned, the PC of tomorrow will make the 360 look like a joke in comparison. Besides, nothing can beat the accuracy and gameplay experience granted through the keyboard and mouse. Can you attach headphones to your Xbox and enjoy your games in surround without disturbing your neighbors? Can your Xbox post on this forum? Does your Xbox help you with your schoolwork as well as entertain you? I think not.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Get the PC and wait until your birthday for the 360.
The 360 will be worth the money eventually, but it still needs to get the kinks worked out.

The PC will be good now and for a long time if you buy the right parts.

If you have been using a Mac, stick with it. Ckeck out the endorsement from Walt Mossberg, Tech Editor at the Wall Street Journal. Unless there are tons of games you want to play that you can't get on the Mac or some niche software you need for your job.
