About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

Who would win?

While the Cyborg has sheer resourcefulness, skill, and is a complete killing machine.

The Chief has luck, a sweet ass suit, and has defeated the Covenant armada.

So who would win? Oh and each man would get their trademark weapon. So Chief would get the MA5B and M6D while the Cyborg would get his AR and Fusion Pistol.

So who would win?

I honestly don't know. There is plenty of information on Spartans and the Chief while it's the complete opposite for the Security Officer and his kind. It's not really a fair comparison since there is barely any information on the cyborg regarding his strength, combat knowledge, etc.

If there are terminals regarding this information please someone inform me.

What threads? Marathon related ones? If you know the Universe forum then you know that they don't pop up often so I'm going to enjoy them while they last. No one is forcing you to enter the threads.

this is interesting.

Keep in mind that Marathon takes place 250+ years after the events of Halo. They Cyborg would have been built with extremely sophisticated architecture. who knows what he is capable of?

For the last time...Marathon DOES NOT take place in the Halo universe.

You don't even know what your talking about.

Know before you speak.

There are plenty of facts to prove that Halo is not in the same universe as Marathon. To cite one, humans make first contact in the 26th century in the Halo universe. How is it possible then that in Marathon humans have never seen aliens till the Pfhor attack which took place in the 28th century? How does that make sense if both series take place in the same universe? It doesn't. This fact alone should be enough.

They're still a waste of front page space.

Yeah, because there is such a rush of new information and threads on the Universe forum.

Bro, the Flood counts it's posts in thousands, Universe counts it's posts in dozens. One more thread on the page doesn't matter.

Anyway, I forgot to post my opinion in the OP. I for one think the Cyborg would get crushed. He doesn't have shields. A Fusion Pistol would have the effect of a Plasma Pistol on the Chief's shields.

I agree that a lot of them are pointless and have been done numerous times before but I've personally never seen this one before. Besides it's not like there isn't enough room on the front page to accommodate a few.

The Security Officer did have shields, at least they were called that in the manual. It might have been mentioned somewhere in the games as well. The thing is they act more like health then shields which is why most people think he doesn't have them. While the Security Officer did have more shields, they didn't recharge by themselves so the Chief does have an advantage there.

While I am inclined to believe that the Chief would win I still can't say for sure with the limited knowledge we have of the Cyborg. The only thing we really know is that they were approximately the same height.

If we wanna base it off weapons then I think the SO has an advantage there. While the fusion pistol is similar to the plasma pistol there are notable differences. For one the plasma pistol, while good against shields, isn't very effective past that point. It is stated in the game that the fusion pistol is very effective against armoured opponents which the Chief is. Also the SOs AR comes with a grenade launcher. There is a major advantage there.

I believe the Cyborg has been in more combat experience then the Chief, this could tip the side to his scale.

Wait, I though Chief was a Cyborg?

We are talking about the Security Officer aka The Cyborg aka Mjolnir Recon 54 from the Marathon series.
