This is assuming the Halo Universe actually exists and you live within it. There is no [Other] option, but if you want you can state something else.

This does not mean "Which is better?".

-I know about the typo in 'Orbital'.

My jokes, so I don't lose them (ignore this):
ZedFish's Opinion on Sgt. Foley.
ZedFish's Forerunner Rickroll.

I'd go a Spartan III. It's like a Spartan II in that they're badass, but they stay out of the spotlight a little more.

They don't have anywhere near as much abilities as a Spartan II.

Not really. They're a little shorter and slightly less muscular and have a drug that keeps them from entering shock, but aside from that, mostly the same.

The Spartan-II's get MJOLNIR, though. That gives them extra points.
If a Spartan-III team get's MJOLNIR (read: Noble Team), I'd say that they'd stand up to a Spartan-II team pretty well.
I don't think they'd win, but they'd give the II's the fights of their lives.

EDIT: Wow, I have like, a thousand apostrophes in that post...

ODST because UNSC Army Soldier is not up there and after the war, I can live an normal life.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Inner colony civilian. On some colony that doesn't get invaded.

Yeah, I didn't vote, but I would probably just go the 'Normal' UNSC Marine. You know, there is the Civilian option.

Spartan-II, they are the most badass Spartans out there.

"but you already knew that, I mean, how couldn't you?

Only when no Human brick is left atop another, shall we be satisfied with your destruction.

Officer in the UNSC Space Navy.

Much as I'd like to hide out the war as a civilian in the inner colonies, as I'm basically a pacifist, with humanity being exterminated my conscience would leave me no option but to sign up.

I'd be not terribly useful on the ground, and I have a degree so a good chance of getting into officer training.

I play halo and suck at it. Live with that knowledge or die by it. It wont matter. Odds are I will be taking your shotgun off your dead body anyway.

May the Gods of Bungie guide your shots. Death to the Covenant, and may they flee in terror from our flaming skulls!

I would pick a normal Marine. Because I had a dream where I actually WAS one, but I did things that impressed the Spartans. Like in the opening cutscene in Reach where the army is charging the covy base, I was one of the riders in the warthog that didnt make the jump, but I made it, because I used the forward momentum to launch myself out of the passenger seat, and land safetly on the other side. I then proseded to steal Noble six's pro-pipe, and shoot down the banshee. It was the best dream ever. ^_^

I'd go UNSC Marine, stationed on one of the frigates that survives the war.

  • 03.15.2011 8:19 AM PDT

I'd be a Drop Shock Trooper. I don't wanna be some wimpy marine, but I also don't wanna be a Spartan 'cause I don't work well under pressure.

+ Better and safer augments (no chance of failure), 5 years of training with all the blueprints from the Spartan-II program.

You were totally and absolutely correct in every way, I don't know why we were arguing, you're so amazing I should never have doubted you.

Sangheili. Maybe a Kaidon somewhere on Sangheilios.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

If I had the age, I would go for a Spartan III.

But right now, I'd clearly go without a doubt for an ODST.

Spartan II. Awesome superhuman abilities more than compensates for high death possibilities.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Orbital Drop Shock Trooper!

Feet first into Hell!

ODSTs are tough as nails and have no augmentations. They pull a lot of weight.

My second choice would be a Spartan-II, then Spartan-III.

Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains.

"Smart" AI intelligence.
All that information... all that power!

Sure, the average "lifespan" is only a few years, but that will feel very very long at the rate my "thoughts" would be going at.
Plus, rampancy would be a cool way to go. Send me out with a bang!

(If "ONI Scientist" were an option I would have picked it).

So when you jumped out of the Warthog to save yourself, you left the gunner and passenger to die? You're like a Captain abandoning his ship and his crew. You just let them die. You are a cruel selfish person. And theft is not something to be proud of either.

spartan-III because they can stand fast in a stand up fight but can still belnd in with pepole for HUMINT operations

therye like deltas while S-IIs are more like a tank division
