▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀MJOLNIR BATTLE TACTICS▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Please read, this is not advertising, I'm not writing this for personal gain, this is a serious attempt at bringing together the 7th Column Community. Moderators, please read, don't just lock it thinking this is advertising. Thank you.

I have created a new meeting ground for the leaders and representatives of the 7th column community. The 7th Column Assembly is going to be a fair body, where things can actually get done. This is for the betterment of the entire community, not just one group, or a small string of groups. Your participation as Ambassador of your own group would be greatly appreciated. Also, every group is allowed two (2) Ambassadors.

Please pass on the word.

The 7th Column Assembly

Thanks,

Papa John

Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

How does this really help? Why is this really necessary? Don't you think that if such a group was needed, a Bungie employee or moderator would have created it after discussing it with everyone else?

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

This sounds suspiciously like the ill-fated 7th Column Council...Anyway, it's nice that you want to bring everybody together, but what you're envisioning is only going to happen with the Council, and the Council is only going to happen with Bungie helping, because without Bungie's help the Council is powerless. Woah, run on sentence.

As powerless as the so-called "top community members" involved in it want it to be, yeah.

Yes, it will probably fail, but I'd like to ge tthe idea out there. Unfortunately, Chapter Founders is more of a group to help you create a group. It doesnt't help you socialize with other group members, it doesn't help you discuss your group's issues with other group members. It really was a group about improving individual groups, not the community as a whole.

Well, hopefully this give some people something to think about,

I'm just not sure I get the point of it. As aforementioned, it seems a lot like the council. And we all know that that hasn't helped any.

I disagree. From what I have seen in CF it does all of those. It does go for one group (mostly) though. Still- you need to explain what your group is for. The description states it's a form of government for the 7th column, which I don't understand. In my opinion, there are better ways to help the column.

Do you know why it hasn't helped?

Because not enough of the community is represented. In the Assembly, it is my goal to have the entire community, or as close to it represented. Therefore, we can get things done around here without the mass complainings. We can better the community, together.

Everybody is the 7th Column. But Bungie governs us. And they do what they want...and it does not matter what we do. I mean if we want something done...we must consort Bungie. But until they have free time...nothing will get done.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Papa try using the group data base that was made to contact the founders of the active groups.

And who would that be?

IMO the groups don't really represent the 7th Column, there are thousands of groups, but only a few actually have any standing in the community.

Anyway given how so many chapters are dying and activity is slowing down, your idea probably won't work. Maybe back before the new hotness but not now. What we really need is a revival of the 7th Column spotlight amongst other things.

Now we're talking!

Now, as was my response in Chapter Founders. Yes, Chapter Founders has the same purpose I guess, but It seems to be mor ehelpful for starting a group, not running one in unison with the community.

Ask Yourselves This:

Posted By: Papa John

What has Chapter Founders done so far? Has it solved "Group Wars"? Has it stopped flamming? Has it put an end to innactivity? Has it changed the community? Has it brought us all together and treated us equally? Has it taken our ideas for the community and done anything with them?

Funny, that doesn't sound like anything that Chapter Founders has done at all.

Group Wars are between the groups. If they are foolish enough to start it, then they should have to handle it.

Considering that innactivity is caused by individual members, I don't see how CF could help there.

Yes, it has changed the community.

CF isn't made to treat us all equally. That's what the main forums are for. (Mostly the Septagon is best in this case.)

The Septagon is where ideas for the community go. Hence the ideas sticky.

And what, have been done with those ideas? I don't see the 939 members of Chapter Founders standing up together and pushing an idea so far that it is actually used. The ideas sit and collect dust because no one is pushing them, no one is feeding them, and no one is organized enough to get those ideas together and make something of them.

This Septagon forum used to be the Chapter Founders forum, before the New Hawtness.

And, going back through the ages, no group has had a bigger effect on the community than Chapter Founders. It's been around for ages and helped thousands of people with their chapters. Ideas from it were implemented in the past, and suggestions made in CF were looked over by Bungie Employees (And commented on).

Sadly, that kinda got killed off with this new hawtness.. And all the bungie guys are busy now, especially seeing as the site has a much larger member count now than it did.

If ideas are good, and are posted here in the Septagon, hopefully they'll one day get worked on.

They're more likely to be noticed here than in your group somewhere in the column. And as many have mentioned, groups with similar goals have been founded by longstanding community members and failed. Group wars are stupid and best left alone...

While Im sure your motives are good.. I just dont get it.
