why should i have to fork out money to buy the maps just to play online? why can't they simply just do what call of duty does and find people that also have the maps missing? it is annoying when i put the game in the disc tray after a month or two of not playing it to find out the multiplayer is no longer "free" because i have to "pay" for the maps

Walk softly, and carry a big midget.

You can still play matchmaking without the maps. It says "Recommended" not "Required".

Also, wrong forum.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Dear Willard142, there is a place for you to mouth off against Bungie about Reach in, it's called the Reach forums. Go there, and never return.

Wrong forum I believe.

And you can still play the multiplayer, because it does exactly what you were saying Bungie should do, if you don't have the maps you are matched up with other people who don't have them. The message that pops up when you get to the menu screen on Reach is only an ad of sorts and asking if you want to buy the map pack.

'There are many aspects of the universe that still cannot be explained satisfactorily by science; but ignorance only implies ignorance that may someday be conquered. To surrender to ignorance and call it God has always been premature, and it remains premature today.'
-Isaac Asimov

Brain, you should try using it every so often.

I find hard to believe that many people accidentally push the "Recommended Maps" in the menu, and immediately believe that they need to pay in order to play.
