Whats the general worthiness of the reissues of the original 3 books?

Its been a good few years since ive read them and id like to start reading through them again, i hear the reissues have updated and added content and stuff to reflect story development since they were originally published. Are they worth buying for my collection?

If you want to find out what happened to Jun or whatever the hell the book explains

Something I noticed about The Fall of Reach reissue is that ALL the dates at the beginning of each chapter have been changed from 2552 to 2542.

They have some extra content in the back...not really worth it.

My jokes, so I don't lose them (ignore this):
ZedFish's Opinion on Sgt. Foley.
ZedFish's Forerunner Rickroll.

I thought the re-issue was just a stupid move. They changed a figure here and there, and then re-released it as new books.

Why not just publish the changed pages and say "Put this in your book at Page X and read it instead of Page X"?

You can't do this. Represses happens all the time.

Yeah, reprints of popular books or long lasting series happen quite frequently, such as with Lord of the Rings, there have been many subtle changes made to it and the Hobbit over the years as they've been reprinted to fix mistakes or improve the story telling. While you don't have to buy a reprint, you should get used to the idea of possibly seeing more later on, imo they're inevitable for something as popular as Halo.

Ok yeah i heard there were errors made witht he reissue of TFOR, they used a first edition text by accident or something. Did 343 rectify that error with a second print run of the reissue or anything?

It would be nice to have all my halo novels in the same paperback format, the originals were smaller than the modern ones and a bit fiddly to read.
