I prefer ODST's Incarnation. The Shields are much more noticable, and the armor goes with the rest of the Covenant Species.

Of course, I do like the beard from Halo Reach's Chieftains.

My ideal brute would have the hair, bullet spongeness, and berserk from Halo 2, Armor and shielding from Halo 3, and the armored feet from Halo Reach's Chieftain (With all ranks, off course). I also would like the Chieftains (Both normal and War) to have Sage's Beard.

Only when the helmets are off is when we can see them.

Of course, wouldn't it become helmet hair?

Oh, crap, forgot to say that I didn't want the armor to fall of like in Halo 3 and ODST. Afterall, Elites', Jackals', Skirmishers', and Grunts' armor doesn't fall off. And only the weaker part of the Hunter's armor does.

Brutes are too cool for helmet hair

And yeah, That always bugged me in Halo 3, It was like their power armor was made out of legos

*Imagines the War Chieftain Armor with said slot on top of Tartarus*

I concur.

The White fur would match nicely with the Golden hue of the War Chieftain Armer, yes.

I think that was just an aesthetic design for gameplay, so you could tell how much you had hurt them or something like that. 'Cause the Elite's shields pop when you hurt them enough. And the Brutes in Reach have their helmets pop off, which I don't think would happen so easily in real life. So yeah, I think the armor falling apart in H3 was just a gameplay feature so you could tell how much you'd hurt the Brute.

halo 2 brutes imo were the best. h3 brutes had all the same reactions, it was predictable. reach brutes sucked the most. They looked like male strippers, and had nothing special really.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Well, I liked facing them in Halo 3/ODST, but in Reach they made them look like trolls.

Troll.
Reach Brute.

Relatives much?

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Brutes were perfect in Halo 2. They needed no change.

Oh well.

And yes, I failed at linking. Silly me. My linked alt account is called Ultrademon 38.

I'm gonna defy Halo fanboys forever and say that I like Brutes more than Elites.

Chieftans>Zealots.

Mreh.

I think spartans should be allowed to board them and ride them around the battlefield.

I think Halo 2 is definitely where they looked the best, but honestly? Two sword blows and practically all the ammo in one gun to kill them? No thanks, that's broken gameplay imo, the only surefire way to kill them was assassinations or Stickies, and Stickies don't always kill them with one grenade. The amount of damage it took to down a Brute in Halo 2 almost made the game unplayable to me.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

After reading "Stomping On the Heels Of a Fuss" I don't like them at all.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Halo 2 - Perfect.
Halo 3 - Sort of lost their awesome Brutishness with the fancy armour and the tactics.
ODST - Same as Halo 3.
Reach - What has happened to my beloved Brutes?

The worst covenant species. I HATE reading about them.

If you had a Battle Rifle/Carbine/Sniper, there was nothing to worry about, but other wise, I liked it like that. Brutes made you play smart, especially on Legendary with their damn Brute Shots.
