Subject: Why is ODST perfect?

Just got done looking thru all of those Reach and Optimatch threads, and after looking at all the complaints and problems, why is it that ODST perfectly did what it was supposed to? The only complaint I can think of even relativly close to it; which can't be altered after product ship, is no firefight matchmaking. So why is it that ODST had all of the bugs n' such fixed before release as opposed to Reach?

Because it was a Campaign oriented game. They already knew what they were doing and what to expect, as the game's based off of the Halo 3 engine. ODST also lacked Competitive Multiplayer, which means that there was no way they were going to have problems with that one. Basically, it boils down to this: They had a perfect understanding of the engine and how to avoid any problems. They weren't working with any extremely new or different tools or engines. That's how I see it anyway.

As you might've guessed, Sangheili rule.

It's perfect because it's based of awesome troopers.
No, really!

Good players work together...and no matter how good you are, you're not physic. - blade6321

Generally speaking, there are only maybe 3 bugs that really plague Reach. Everything else is just preference/opinion/nerd rage (Not all of it, but most).

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

Bungie obviously went on an awesomeness binge when they made ODST. Unfortunately it meant that when they made Reach they were running low on awesomeness.
