If it is true that there will be destructable environments than you should be able to blow the lights out. I also heard that the covenent have there own type of flashlight which allows them to see you. Would this turn halo2 into a more stealthier game than an up in your face type game.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

No, because you CAN be stealthy, but you don't have too. And technically you didn't ask a question, because you don't have any question marks! Proofread young grasshopper, it will bring you peace.

Ok, they explicitly stated that you could shoot the lights out...

But at any rate, it won't turn Halo into a stealth game by itself. From what I've heard from Bungie, they're only making stealth one option of at least a couple, so you can choose whether to kill everything, or take the safe and stealthy route.

Now, I just cannot comprehend leaving Covenant alive. So I'll probably sneak into a good position, and own half of them before the other half know where I am. Best of both worlds!

I plan on using it to my advantage. I'm famous among my gaming peers for appearing out of nowhere causing havoc and dissappearing once more into the shadows. No one ever thinks to look "up" when they're being attacked by an unseen assailant.

You have to remember, the scary part is that Halo 2 is smarter then the original. The Grunts when they see you in new Mombasa won't just run away in fear when you show up. Now they'll run away and call in a dropship on you.

Don't forget you have covenant snipers now. Getting enmeshed in a grand combat would suddenly become hectic if there was a sniper in a building down the street pinging you with impunity.

Mind you, my friend would likely sit tight screaming at the screen daring them to send down another drop ship and then start unleashing rockets and plasmas upon the dropship since you can bring them down in flames now.

He has... odd moods *lol*

It all depends on your playing style, what weapons you currently possess and how much you want to conserve that precious human ammunition.

That is the genius of Halo 2. Real Time Consequences.

Halo 2 shall be much cooler than Halo. And that's saying something, because Halo rocked (and still does).

I hope though, that you can manage your marines in combat. There was one article in a british mag where they suggested that, and one of the four commands was "go find a place to hide." If I could do that in Halo, I'd do it as soon as I saw them (unless already in combat). Really, I like the little guys, and they just can't handle the game on Legendary.

Oh yeah... Why did I bring that up? Oh yeah! So I can call marine snipers to hit specific enemies. That'd rule. And basically just adjust their tactics.

I plan to hide in a dark place, such as under a rock or tree, and snipe every mother of -blam!- out there!
