Russia, while maintianing their stance on Syria and Yemen, have changed their angle on Libya, saying "Gaddafi Must Go" and stated he is no longer legitimate.
In discussions during the G8 summit in France, Obama asked the Russians to pass on the message to Gaddafi that if he left office and left Libya, the international community would let him live. Russia responded saying that they don't believe that is possible: "Gaddafi must go", but they would think it over, as they would with the G8 request to take over mediation with the loyalists.
The loyalist forces have made a renewed push on Misurata, but are currently being held back, just inside the western outskirts. As they advanced on the city, they have laid an extensive minefield all around the city in an attempt to stop people from leaving the city. Such minefields are against international law according to NATO.
The Rebels in Benghazi and Misurata have said they have no interest in keeping Gaddafi alive anymore, saying that the only way to end the fighting is for Gaddafi to be gone. They have asked that NATO try to eliminate Gaddafi if they get reasonable intelligence as to his whereabouts.
In Yemen there is now an uneasy truce between the rebellion there and the Government's Republican Guard. This following the Rebels taking a Republican Guard military base, and the Loyalists bombing a group of Armed Rebel Tribesman just outside the capital.
In Syria, protesters in Deraa chant together "Muslim's and Christians want freedom". In the besieged city of Baniyas, protesters still come out in the thousands, to protest and to appeal to the conscript military. Security forces have killed at least 4 people in Deraa last night.
