In Libya
The Rebels have graduated their first officers from their military academy. Looking at the Al Jazeera blog there are some pictures of the dress uniforms of the rebel military, they are looking quite professional. They are no longer the rag-tag group they once were
NATO has said they feel the end of the conflict is near, citing Gaddafi's inner circle is starting to defect.
The Battle for Misurata seems to actually be over as the rebels start to clean up the streets and take down fortifications behind the front line.

In Yemen
The situation gets more convoluted as three sides appear to have emerged. two are becoming anti-western and pro-al-Qeada. The dispute has moved away from a push for political reform and has degraded into a secretarian, religious dispute, while the peaceful protest of the pro-democratic movement continues to protest.
{personal addendum to this} it would seem that the 'Islamist Jihadis' are trying to take advantage of the Government's distraction with the civil uprising, in an attempt to take over the country. The protesters continue to push democracy, and the president continues to refuse to give up power to either side.
In Syria
Protesters, who have been chanting about their religious solidarity, despite differences have changed their chant to anti-Hezbollah, and anti-Iran slogans after Iran sent Military aid to the Syrian president in an attempt to quell the 'peaceful rebellion'

The killing of the 13 year old boy sparked a response from Russia saying the Syrian regime has 'crossed a line' and moved for the Syrian situation to be rediscussed in the UN security council.
