Canada is to send pilots, but not planes, to relieve NATO pilots being fatigued from extensive around the clock operations.

Thousands of Loyalists have re-surrounded Misurata and have started shelling the city again. This means they would have circumvented the Rebels to the south. In response there seems to be a mass exodus of NATO planes from Italy. Gaddafi's government has yet to make comment.

The UN Resolution has a high possibility of failing, and a threat of a war with Iran with it.

It seems that the offensive on Tripoli will actually be coming from the western mountains, where a specific unit is being trained specifically for taking the city.

It doesn't sound smart for that to be public knowledge.

In a firm denial of using -blam!- as a weapon, the Loyalist Government has accused the rebels of being "cannibalistic mercenaries" and that the Loyalists were being pushed around by western media and powers, and that they were truly the victims.

LIBYA
Canada, Britain and France are with drawing their surveillance aircraft from the NATO campaign as a cost cutting measure to allow for more bombing sorties and other attack aircraft.

Loyalists are claiming they have shot down a NATO attack helicopter just off the coast from Zlitan.

Syria
10,000 people are protesting in Binnish, and the town has been completely surrounded by Syrian forces. The protesters are starting to fear an attack after a Syrian State TV report that said 100 armed men are forcing people to protest at gun point.

The Turkish government continues to keep reporters away from any Syrian refugees.

The towns of Jisr al-Shugur, and Ariha are both under military assault. The Syrian Government is saying that they are 'protecting' the civilians from armed parties who are killing indiscriminately, that refugees are not fleeing the military, but armed thugs.

Security forces have started burning crops around towns in an attempt to starve people into submission. All protesters are saying there are no armed gangs, that what the security forces are saying is preposterous.

YEMEN
A full 100,000 protesters have turned up in 'Change Square' in Sanaa alone, demanding the creation of a interim government that would not allow Saleh to return to Yemen from his recovery in Saudi Arabia.

The US continues to airstrike al-Qaeda targets in Yemen.

Norway, which has sent six F-16 fighter jets to Libya, will first reduce its participation before withdrawing from air operations on August 1, the government said.

The Scandinavian country, which had committed to the NATO-led operations in Libya until June 24, is the first to set an end date for its air support. The defence ministry said in a statement:

The government has decided to prolong the Norwegian air contribution with up to four F-16 fighter jets until August 1, 2011. After that, the mission will end.

Can someone tell me how the rebels in Libya are doing, in terms of defending Misrata and advancing towards Tripoli?
