When your argument is "Hey no we're not actually killing anybody who returns", you're not going to get many people to return.

Wow, the situation with Syria has really gotten out of hand, with more protests and violence appearing around the country, and now there is a stand off between Russia and China and NATO.

Could it really go to war?

could and will are two different things, it certainly has the set up for a war, but I don't think anything will actually happen. no-one is financially in a position to fight a war, even Canada, and we are in pretty good financial shape.

Even if we do intervene, I am sure that our governments ( and theirs) are smart enough to back down or come to a truce. All of us are holding on to our positions as world leaders and a war will set all of us a way back.

exactly why I don't think it will happen. Every member of the G20 is a member of NATO or an ally of Russia or China. nobody would know who would emerge as a potential world power in the aftermath.

House rejects move to cut funds from Libya mission United States in now out of Libya operations.

so a Russian sub was found in Canadian waters and a NATO Task Group is now sitting of Syria, great.
Article says that the bill did not pass meaning the US is allowed to continue operations in Libya. This is good news.

my heads been out of shape lately, i was linking that while watching CNN who was acting as if they cut funding.

Economically yes. Technologically no.
War breeds technology.

still, I don't think this will turn into a real war. Another cold war maybe.

another CNN Report from Damascus

CNN is actually allowed in the country now as compared to other Media outlets (to my knowledge) who have not been granted access, but they appear to be limited to Damascus, and to areas that are pro Assad.
