anything new on the NATO, Russia and China tensions?
no, if anything they seem to be cooling off a little. Helps that Assad is having public talks with the opposition now.

The cake is a pie

So Gadaffi was in a real state of peace? This whole time? I didn't even believe him. But that's because I was too caught up in a stupid feeling of victory and motivation of rebelion. I've let emotion compromise my judgement. Damn. I hope the same hasn't happened to anyone who will come to power in the rebel faction, because poor judgement coming to leadership will set this war in vain.

Fair enough but the US should not be there end of story. Its between China and the other countries that have disputes, this is why people don't like America because it sticks its nose in anywhere its not needed.

There have been occasions where america/other western forces have not intervened. I for one consider the outcome more attrocios.

And they're hoping to accomplish what exactly?

he will most likely have government minders with him, so he wont be accomplishing much

for Yemen its just to see how bad it is.

Does Libya, Yemen, or Syria have nuclear weapons? Or bio-weapons?

Libya has Chemical, Syria is unconfirmed for nuclear weapons, Yemen to my understanding has no WMD's

and none of these countries have a way to deliver these to the United States but Iran test fired 14 missiles today that can hit Israel and American targets...

i'm surprised Gaddafi hasn't tried using his 21 metric tons of Mustard Gas on the Rebels yet. it is a good thing he hasn't since we should all know how deadly it is.

Think of it this way, China will destroy everything they have in their sights and then annex it all to boost their agenda.
China has said they will not resort to military actions to solve the disputes.

And America has expanded themselves so they are a little hypocritical. China has never expanded outside its bordered in its whole existence I can't see why the would start now with dozens of countries that can stop them.
China says versus China does. And it's not like their population situation is getting any better. Look, all the U.S. is doing is being cautious and I approve.
What I think LonePaul is trying to say here is that the US probably shouldn't be the aggressor in any war right now, hence they shouldn't take any aggressive posturing on any country's part as reason for military intervention.

The US, for their own sake, especially with Russian/Chinese tensions with NATO over Syria, should let another country take the first shot. Wait for Russia or China to attack a NATO country, call their bluff if you will. Or worst case scenario, wait for a NATO country, other than the US, one that is seen in a different light around the globe, make the first move with intervention before the US steps in.

The US holds alot of political sway in the world, but with that sway comes strong opinions about the US. If Turkey were to invade Syria, it would likely have less of a resounding impact around the political world than, if say, the US would. While much of Russia's and China's posturing is directed at NATO as a whole, the US making the first move is a much bigger spark to start a fire than the US coming to it's ally's aid when they are in need.

The US should be involved in the middle east crisis' but should hold onto a back seat and let other countries take the lead in all 3 conflicts. Give the world the view that it is ALL of the world wanting change, not just a US force backed by the power of it's allies.

To be honest, i think the USA SHOULD take a part in helping countries like Libya and Syria get liberated. This is because NATO is made up of loads of squabbling countries some of which refuse to get into any conflict whatsoever [Germany]. I am happy for them to take less of a large part though, and just let France and Britain take the helm.
