LIBYA
The Government is now training the civilians in Tripoli to create a Militia army, after news that the rebels in the western mountains may make a push on Tripoli in the next couple days.

YEMEN
Saleh is not going to return to Yemen soon, according to doctors. They say while he is recovering, it is slow, they had to apparently dislodge a eight inch long piece of 2x4 from his chest and treat a punctured lung and 3rd degree burns.

300 government forces have defected to the protesters.

SYRIA
al Jazeera has been allowed into the country again, but reports that the crackdown continues near the boarder of Turkey and Syria, despite things being calm in Damascus.

EGYPT
The Trial of the two police men who are tried with the death of the man who started the Egyptian uprising has new evidence submitted that has raised the charge from manslaughter to murder.

Tents have again been set up in Tahrir square as people protest the fact an election has yet to be held.

Would NATO fire on the militia soldiers? I mean, they have basically been brainwashed by Gaddafi and his troops and they dont realise they are fighting for the wrong side. On the other hand, the rebels will take probably large casualties if NATO does nothing.

if i recall Militia is counted as combatants in the UN, but who knows how effective they will be.

exactly. these people have been given literally an hour of training with a rifle to be able to care for it and fire it.

some time ago(almost a month if I remember) he was caught in a suicide bomb attack by al-Qeada in a Mosque.

Yemen is so disorganized right now it isn't even funny. The government is fighting al-Qeada, and both are killing protesters.

i'll be honest, you can train a person to clean and use an AK-47 in an afternoon. as compared to most western weapons which take a week.

thats what i've been told anyway.

using an AK is really easy, as is caring for it. the combat training is what they will lack. These are people who will fight in the middle of the road, not using cover to their advantage.

That's where the rebels with combat experience will succeed. Gaddafi is desperate, he's trying to win by numbers now.
