Well, IPads are not good at posting news so I'll post 1 story at this time.

Governor of a restive Syrian provence sacked by Bashar al-Assad

It also appears Yemens economy is now crippled, which will add more fuel to the fire there.

Libyan Rebels welcome 'Gaddafi free' AU talks well, this is good news I guess.

  • 07.02.2011 4:08 PM PDT

I got an unconfirmed report of Rebel formations reaching Bi'r al Gahanam, as well as reports of fishing boats being targeted by NATO drones and a possible invasion but these two come from the guy who said that 9/11 was done by military and intelligence agencies.

There is also a report from June 17th of multiple anti Gaddafi protests in Tripoli numbering in the hundreds that military and police opened fire on.

Multiple other countries have recognized the rebels in the last month, the most notable one I've seen so far is Tunisia, with the reasons of Gaddafi shelling his own people, shelling Tunisia, and because he supported Tunisia's leader during the Tunisian uprisings in December 2010.

It's from the guy who said 9/11 was staged by rogue military and intelligence groups. Not really credible.

This thread was started after the UNSC approved the no-flyzone over Libya
WAIT WHAT?! The UNSC approve a no-fly zone? I was not aware that the UNSC was real. Unless you are referring to the UN Security Council? Pretty misleading there, dontcha think?

Reports indicate the rebels are preparing for their push on Tripoli.

In Syria, there is a mass military build up around Hama after major protests there yesterday. Noted as part of this are tanks.

5000 refugees supposedly returned to Syria yesterday.

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi vowed to attack "homes, offices and families" in Europe in revenge for NATO airstrikes but U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said he should quit instead of issuing threats.

Also, the AU is holding talks with Russia now to talk about a ceasefire or something along those lines. And the Libyan rebels are preparing for an offensive that should bring them to Tripoli

More protests in Bahrain today. Talk for government reforms are supposedly going to start this week.

I can now confirm that the city of Hama is surrounded by Syrian security forces.

Turkey is going to send 200 million USD in aid to the Libyan Rebels.

This could be bad. Sudanese Army seizes the town of al-Kufra

I feel this is an attempt to take Libyan territory under everyones noses.

NATO is so I assume the Rebels know, and I think they went threw Loyalist troops there. In the short term it's not viewed as a problem even though they are near major oil fields, and the Sudanese haven't moved any oil. I'm still worried though.

Even if their presence isn't an immediate problem it still needs to be dealt with quickly. If they get a foothold in Libya than we could possibly be looking at the start of an invasion.
I have mixed feelings about this. The Sudan has recognized the TNC as the legitimate leadership of Libya, and has allied with them before. Maybe this is the security force for the oil fields that the Rebels were talking about a while ago...

on the other hand it could be Sudan Trying to be imperialistic.

I read a really good article on the economist [a really good news magazine] on Libya and alot of it was on how people felt in Tripoli. Apparently some of the rebels in Tripoli attack checkpoints and paint cats and dogs green [which is the national colour of the libyan rebels] Rebel supporters live in fear in Tripoli because plain clothes policemen go through house to house taking away suspects. This tells us that Gaddafis hold on Tripoli is not as strong as we might think. There would probably be some help for the rebels when they attack.

There is also reports on the economist about Syria, Yemen and the unrest in the UAE.
