About damn time.
More info on the S/RES, with videos of the massacre

I don't think the UNSC has done enough. They should have issued an ultimatum to Assad a long time ago. Massacres will just become more and more prevalent.

I don't think when Bungie.net was established, that stuff like this was expected. I see the purpose it serves, but this is so out of the blue when considering the fact that this is a videogame developer's website.

I don't see why you wouldn't just create a blog at this point.

LIBYA
A rebel has claimed that a NATO strike has killed Khamis Gaddafi in an airstrike near Zlitan. NATO says that if they did infact kill him, it was by chance as they have not attacked the command centre in the city, but have been focusing on tanks and artillery.

The HMS Liverpool came under attack from Gaddafi forces

The rebels in Tripoli have been sabotaging pipelines and power sources trying to cut the city off. In one example rebels turned off the valve for an oil pipeline leading to the petrol refinery and proceeded to encase it in cement.

SYRIA
The Syrian government is saying it will broadcast the events of 'terrorists in Deir ez-Zor committing atrocities against humanity' at 1730 GMT today

At least 125000 people turned out for protests today.

In Baniyas the Syrian regime has locked down mosques where protests have broken out locking the protesters inside.

Syrians use T-72's, T-55, and T-62's.

Syria
Assad has appointed a new defence minister

Security forces have killed at least 3 people at a funeral procession this morning

Bahrain has withdrawn it's ambassador along with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

the EU is considering further sanctions in Syria

Germany has said that Assad has lost all legitimacy in their eyes.

LIBYA
The Rebels have plans to move over 5000 troops into Tripoli imediately following the fall of Gaddafi. They also claim, in leaked documents, that there are about 3000 troops still in Gaddafi's forces that actually part of rebel groups smuggling weapons out and carrying out sabotage.

The leaked documents also say that they are more likely to take Tripoli through mass defections than via direct action.

The western Rebels took Bir Ghanem and held against counter attack yesterday and plan to advance 30KM further today putting them within 50KM of Tripoli, litterally shelling distance.

YEMEN
Saleh was released from hospital today, but will remain in Saudi Arabia.

The Tribal Militia backing the prodemocratic reform have all out attacked the Yemeni Capital, and fighting continues for the second day straight. The newly formed Iraqi armed forces have offered their backing to the Tribal forces and threatened all-out war if the government does not give in to protester demands.
