The cake is a pie

Is it sad that im not surprised by those American officials actions? The US has always been trying to keep somebody they like power even at the cost of lives and they are no different to Russia or China in that respect.

And they are doing it under the nose of their Allies to. (Yes im aware it was a small group of people in America help Gaddafi).

mhm. With no offence to the states, America's government seems to be showing more and more corruption as the world unfolds itself.

My guess is they've been like that for a while but we as the public are only starting to realise due to wikileaks and easier forms of information that are harder to tamper with

Republicans....I'm not joking. Back on topic or me, the U.S. needs to be more careful when supporting any more nations.

I think before we draw any conclusions about this we need to know why the individuals tried to support Gaddafi. Furthermore I remind you that there is no law against supporting someone, even him.

Self preservation. we supported the Taliban to halt the spread of Communism...who's to say we're not doing it again.

I fail to comprehend those motives but It wouldn't be the first time...

How can you blame one side of the political spectrum? Isn't Obama like Labour is for the UK? Or are the guys who support Gaddafi republicans?

Either way America is showing its true colours more and more eventually we are going to see the true USA unless the people take action 1st.

If the actions of one congressman represented all of the American government, then the Fed doesn't exist and we're on the gold standard. That's just what Ron Paul said but it represents all of us now apparently.

It's like the movie Shooter with Mark Wahlberg. There's one congressman paying the guy to frame Marky Mark for shooting the archbishop but the others are doing important political stuff like having a pissing contest.

And last time I checked several US lawmakers supported the NTC and the no-fly zone in Libya, so why claim that the one congressman who genuinely supports Gaddafi is representative of our "true colors"? Actions speak louder than words, especially with politicians, and I'd say being a big part of the Rent-An-Air-Support for the NTC is a pretty loud action.

The rebels gave them till Saturday to surrender instead of just attacking

Gadhafi loyalists given one more week to surrender also i think there is something in here about the NTC being invited to Moscow.

LIBYA
The NTC has announced that the drafting on the interim constitution will be modelled after the Canadian Bill of Rights.

There is also talk of the NTC inviting the JTF2 advisers to take a direct role in securing Gaddafi's Mustard Gas and chemical weapon stockpiles to ensure they do not fall into the wrong hands.

It is becoming more and more apparent that the CIA had, at least until 2004, very strong ties with the Libyan Intelligence agencies, even go so far as using them as a 'torture friendly' interrogation service.

Russia has invited the NTC to Moscow to discuss Russian energy contracts in Libya.

a broad action asking for the surrender of Gaddafi supporting cities has been put out, giving them all one week to surrender. Until such a time the NTC will not go about disarming the revolutionaries. This doesn't apply to Bani Walid, where they have given them to tomorrow, due to suspecting Gaddafi officials in the city. In the mean time, they will lay siege to the cities, supplying them only with humanitarian supplies.

China is the sole member of the UNSC that is stopping the
release of Libyan funds to the NTC, held under resolution 1973, Russia recognized the NTC as the legitimate government.

GAZA
Turkey has cut all ties with Israel and suspended all NATO military contracts through Turkey to Israel after Israeli commandos boarded a Turkish ship and killed 9 Turkish citizens protesting the violence in the area.

To be fair, this happend over a year ago. Also, they were not your average "citizen", but of course the media won't report that.

my guess would be that the Rebels would attack their positions until they surrender or are all killed.

Its always China and or Russia slowing the process down for no reason. Maybe in the futur it will be different.

the people of Bani Walid have joined the revolution, after pro-gaddafi gunmen fired on some vilage elders who were negotiating with the NTC. The NTC expects some small resistance over the next few days from small armed groups.
