There are those who said this day would never come. What have they to say now?

I think it just shows how loyal his supporters are, I am starting to believe that this resolution is either

1) A knee jerk reaction

2) Only the preceeding step to more out-right support of the Rebels, ie arming them, sending in ground forces.

As frankly, I don't think they are capable of taking over Tripoli, even with the air-support, and surely the end-game for us western countries is the removal of the Regime, as I can't see people being too happy with this dragging out. And unless your prepared to follow through with my second step, that is exactly whats going to be happen - or at least it currently looks that way.

Apparently when Osprey landed to pick up second pilot there were shots fired towards a nearby town and casualties were reported. Canadian general says that JTF-2 forces who secured the pilot for pick up, reported it was a 'hot' extraction.

UN has said it will be happy with a result of a succession of rebel Libya from Gaddafi Libya, effectively creating 2 countries

How is a no fly zone supposed to be peaceful?

And if Russia donates troops then wouldn't that go against what the rebels want?

How many RAF fighters were in the air when they did it?

Russia is saying they will contribute only if it becomes a peacekeeping(blue helmet) operation. that would mean that either Gaddafi or the rebels would have to win, and then the Blue helmets would go in to make sure there isn't another civil war.

as there is not peace there right now, there can't be a peace keeping operation, that would come much later.

as to how many RAF fighters 3 engaged the squadron, and another 4 were pulled off a patrol, but arrived after the squadron had been downed

The Coalition can't do everything. I have a bad feeling about the entire middle east. Something cataclysmic is going to happen in the following years after this.

As Han said ,"I have a bad feeling about this."

Pretty much, you can see this turning into an even bigger foreign policy fiasco for the West, it's going to be a lot of pressure if the Libyan situation arises in another country. And this guy has already killed alot of his people...

At this moment in time, I would be pulling out all troops from any foreign country and making some defences. I can just see World War 3 written all over this.

there's also the issue that the Yemeni president is very closely connected to Al-Qaeda, meaning that the east will push for no western involvement, but the west will strongly push to be involved

Like I said, something cataclysmic will arise out of this. WWIII maybe, a great conflict maybe. I have a theory that the Muslim Brotherhood is going to try and take control of the entire Middle East with these revolutions. And then unite it under Islam and rid it of Western Powers and eventually try to destroy the west once and for all.

Well Big Colly G has been involved in terrorist funding before as-well, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's making moves too do the same again, after all its his one real method of retaliation without allies.

This is fantastic video: Well worth a presence in the OP, IMO :

Well they aren't considered west, it's either

A) They attack Russia and Asia for being infidels to their religion. It's going to be a religious war. The point of Islam is to spread it over the land and conquer the infidels and convert or kill anyone who isn't Muslim

B) They leave Russia alone cause Russia will kick their asses.
